💫 We owe you an apology.

One week ago, we said Phase One of the new ION direction was expected to launch within two weeks.

We were wrong.

Phase One is already finished — and the controlled launch is scheduled to begin first thing Monday.

That means we are moving one week earlier than expected.

Over the past week, our small team pushed harder than ever. We have integrated AI deeply into our development, QA, testing, iteration, documentation, and automation workflows.

In total, last week, we processed more than 17 billion AI tokens across agentic development pipelines, automated QA loops, regression testing, edge-case simulations, code reviews, optimization tasks, technical documentation, campaign preparation, and product validation work.

While we were sleeping, our agents were still working.

Testing.
Breaking things.
Finding issues.
Re-running flows.
Improving outputs.
Validating user journeys.
Preparing the product for real clients.

This is exactly the speed we were missing in the past.

We had strong ideas before, but we often lacked the execution velocity needed to bring them to market fast enough. This time, things are different.

Phase One is not a hype launch.

It is a controlled launch with a small initial client base, where we will calibrate campaigns, optimize acquisition costs, collect real feedback, improve conversion flows, and validate demand with actual users.

The goal is simple:

Build a product that brings real utility, real monthly revenue, and real value back into the ION ecosystem.

This new direction is connected to the AI industry, but it is not dependent on crypto hype, KOLs, market noise, or empty speculation. It can be marketed through real business channels, including search, social, and direct acquisition campaigns.

We have already prepared multiple campaign angles. Once we begin collecting data, I will share updates as transparently as possible: what works, what does not, what we are improving, and how the product is performing.

Some people will say this is just marketing.

That is fine.

If it is only marketing, it will not survive contact with real clients, real campaigns, real feedback, and real numbers.

The project is 100% open-source under the MIT license and will be shared publicly at the right moment.

For now, we launch, measure, learn, improve, and grow.

This is the rebuild.

This is the speed we needed.

And this is how we make ION stronger, sharper, and useful again.

🚨 We want to address a security incident that has recently come to our attention and provide full clarity to the community.

On April 15, one individual gained unauthorized access to an identity database server and illegally exported data. We have since received credible information, including direct evidence shared by a well-known member of the community, confirming that parts of this data were further distributed to third parties.

The individuals involved were not directly employed by Ice Labs. As mentioned in the past, Ice Labs worked with a third-party service provider that handled part of the operational side of the project, including coordination of development, design, product, and PR resources. The individuals responsible for this incident were part of that service provider’s team.

We have identified the individuals involved, and four former collaborators acted together in breaching their contractual confidentiality obligations and illegally sharing sensitive data.

We have already initiated formal proceedings, including a complaint filed with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and a criminal complaint with law enforcement authorities, to ensure that all responsible parties are held fully accountable.

It is important to clearly state what this incident does and does not impact.

User funds are safe. At no point were private keys, access credentials, or any information that could allow unauthorized access to user funds compromised.

The affected data includes identity key names, associated public keys, email addresses, and phone numbers used for 2FA. As a precaution, we strongly recommend that all users update their 2FA settings, including both email and phone-based authentication methods.

We are treating this matter with the highest level of seriousness and will pursue it to the fullest extent of the law. As we have done before, including successfully defending our name in legal proceedings against Intercontinental Exchange in the United States, we will take all necessary steps to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

At the same time, this situation does not impact the continuation of the project. Development, product rollout, and ecosystem expansion continue without interruption. Our focus remains on building, delivering, and growing the Ice Open Network ecosystem.

As an additional measure, tomorrow we will run a migration on Online+ to further increase the security level. During this process, the platform may be temporarily unavailable or experience loading issues.

We will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses.

📢 SealSend Update

This week, we will release a new update for the SealSend extension.

We have also decided to keep the extension free for everyone to use, with no staking, no paid access, and no barriers.

Regarding the SealSend token distribution, we want to be fully transparent:
there are no plans at this moment.
The reason is simple. SealSend does not currently have the budget required for market making or to support a token launch in a responsible way. To be clear, SealSend has never earned anything from this project. The entire development has been funded directly by the company.

Given the current market conditions, we also do not see a strong reason to move forward with a token at this stage.

Our main focus now is on the product itself:

keeping the extension free and accessible

completing the mobile application
releasing it first as a free APK that anyone can download, install, and use
Later, if we find the right path to monetize the technology, for example by offering it as a service to businesses - then we can revisit the token, its utility, and any potential distribution.

If the community has constructive ideas, we’re happy to hear them.
But please understand: constant spam in the comments does not help. We appreciate everyone who is part of this community, but we also need to be realistic, we are building a product, not running a charity.
