Mosunmola "Mo" Abudu primary education was at the Fiwasaye Girls' Grammar School in Akure, Nigeria. She then attended the International School, Ibadan, for her secondary education.
She pursued a degree in Architecture at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University)
In 2020, Abudu was appointed as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), making her the first African woman to join the Oscars voting board.
