Elephant calves are precious. The SOP for reuniting orphaned elephant calves with their herds/ raising and taking care of calves in camps ( if reuniting efforts fail) prepared by TN Forest Department and released during the elephant conclave is the first of its kind. This will be an excellent guide for field teams. Now we are ready to train our teams on the SOP to ensure a scientific, professional and flawless execution. Kudos to Thiru Udayan IFS who led the expert committee for this brilliant document #TNForest
