Ableton only: Be aware that anything panned passed 45 left and 45 right has a great chance of going out of phase.
You can achieve the same perceived width by panning 45 either way and increasing volume.
EQ Trick: Do you feel like you've lost energy after EQing even though you've cleared away any harshness?
Try increasing the output of the EQ to compensate the average amount of reduction applied. 😉
Tape saturation can be great to add glue, control harshness and add body to the low-end, but it may take away transient details that are essential to the mix.
Apply transient designing after to add back transients to the mid and high frequencies.
