Photojournalist focusing on the relationships between humans, wildlife and the environment. Currently working to expose Sweden’s Green Myth with @swidstrand.

The Giraffe Conservation Foundation recently provided veterinary support for our GPS satellite collaring and tagging efforts of 13 giraffe species in Boma & Badingilo - including 11 endangered Nubian giraffes.

Thanks ILCP, for using @Swidstrand s and @TheLifeOfMarcus images for this story! We are working on documenting what Swedens "forestry" and Swedens original forest actually looks like, today. The "forestry" is a pure disaster. Destruction at the same level as in the Amazon.

Great article/photos by @HenryWismayer @TheLifeOfMarcus @WashingtonPost! Excerpt: «By '80s, Karakalpakstan suffered from some of worst cancer & infant mortality rates in Soviet Union». More than 40Y have passed, Uzbekistan has received billions $, but almost nothing has changed.

#Bhutan was a bit beautiful, to say the least. Wow.

[BigPicture @bigpicturecomp]

A lone defunct birdhouse stands on a trunk in the middle of deforested land in Sweden. @TheLifeOfMarcus captured this barren scene to highlight what logging considered “sustainable” actually looks like in practice.

@henrywismayer @sophieibbotson_ @Georgina_WP @nikmccaren Sorry mate, I did find out - both photographer and artist - but must have forgotten to tell you.

[Marcus Westberg Photography @TheLifeOfMarcus]

@lukebainbridge @henrywismayer 🙏

An in-depth interview with Yours Truly and @TheLifeOfMarcus in @mongabay about Sweden’s totally un-sustainable forestry practices. Pure de-forestation. Please share widely! @AnnaCarenS @SwedishPM

@henrywismayer Definitely my pleasure!

[Mongabay @mongabay]

“Only 3% of Sweden’s forestry doesn’t involve clearcutting."

That should be "pretty shocking to anyone who hears it, given Sweden’s reputation as a leader of so-called green practices,” @Swidstrand & @TheLifeOfMarcus tells Mongabay's @ErikHoffner: https://t.co/V52E9jgzDG

@henrywismayer and I spent a bit of time in southern Algeria for @LonelyPlanetMag @lonelyplanet.

[Henry Wismayer @henrywismayer]

I’ve been obsessed with the place ever since I visited in March. I wanted to share a bit about what makes it so extraordinary (with a little help from my mate @TheLifeOfMarcus' gorgeous photography.)

@sebmodak @henrywismayer Thanks, Seb. Hopefully we managed to do it justice. Pretty spectacular place, to say the least.

[Sebastian Modak @sebmodak]

from @henrywismayer and @TheLifeOfMarcus, this is the kind of piece that makes me genuinely enjoy being a sometimes-editor, while simultaneously feeling a sudden urge to quit both writing and photography because, I mean, come on, look at this!

[Marcus Westberg Photography @TheLifeOfMarcus]

A view worth building a tower for, apparently. Clear-cutting, it seems, is not only sustainable and good for biodiversity, but also beautiful. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🙄 #weirdtourismsights #visitsweden
