We are lucky to have a history box from the @CanMusHistory in our school for 2 weeks. Grade 4/5G had some great questions about the artifacts that date from early times until today.
Thank you to Jordan Schacht, Knowledge Keeper, who shared the Ojibwe story and message about Mishipeshu - an underwater panther with both grade 4/5 classes today.
Students in 3/4 are studying personal identity in social studies. They gathered materials during a forest walk and made self-portraits trying to show some identifying features.
We had our very first whole school assembly for the 2022-2023 school year on Friday. It was so nice to be together! Mrs. LaSpina welcomed everyone, some grade 4/5 DK students shared highlights from our classroom agreements, and Constable Dave joined us and thanked our patrols!

Grade 3/4O explored Britannica to learn about different animals using illustrations, videos, and text. We also explored the different features that students can adjust to make the information more accessible.
