Massive response by @NationalGuard @USArmy @fema many planes helicopters etc responding to #HurricaneHelene2024 supported by Ashville Airport personnel! @WCKitchen we just deliver 200 barbecue sandwiches so they have a good bite between missions! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Forecast Unnamed Storm, Tropical Cyclone 8...Local Weather called for 4'' rain & some wind...& School Age children sent to school. 18" later...totally caught of guard in Carolina Beach, NC.

@LakebreezePWS @JimCantore @SteveCoville unfortunately, inaccurate forecasting did not help the schools system to make the correct decision. Some parents did not send their children to school but a lot did & they got stuck. Some on the island were rescued in military vehicles & taken home. What a story they will have!!!
