For the record, I was a fan of MK up until MK9 (the best one), until NRS killed of any sex appeal and fan service in the games and then went into the stupid multiverse crap.
Streetfighter has a messy script that has some choppy jumps mainly in them mid to late story. Some fighters could have had a bit more screentime. But it gets right things that really count- the characters are well-cast and look the part, they are very likable in their own ways- Ryu is the stoic, serious fighter but has his goofy moments, Ken clearly has a chip on his shoulder that wants redemption, Guile sounds like an asshole but you can readily see he's just about tough love with heart, Dan is comic relief underdog but a loyal bro and stands by Ryu and Ken to the end. Its a feel good watch for fighting game fans, and I do want to watch it again and again (can't wait for it to come to home).
The hottest 3 this year.
- Rayna Vallandingham - JULI
- Callina Liang as Chun-Li
- Mel Jarnson as Cammy

I LOVE WOMAN. 👩 💙❤️💜🩵🩷
The original SF2 Animated Movie is a work of art, with iconic scenes they'll never do again today- its where the Streetfighter cinematic feel began. The first live-action movie was campy fun that is a guilty pleasure and eternally watchable despite it being totally off-canon. The less said about Legend of Chun-Li, the better. Finally, the new Streetfighter movie sticks close to the game than ever before, with striking visuals, hard-hitting action, humor and heart. Best of all, it makes you want more.
“Street Fighter” punched its way to the top of the box office in a new-release-filled weekend.
The Paramount Pictures movie generated $13 million on Friday.

Just saw it..
I absolutely fucking loved it. It’s just a flat-out FUN film. The characters were well done, the soundtrack was incredible and EVERYONE had equal screen time.
That rumour about Dan having more screen time than everyone was BULLSHIT. I want to see it again.
8/10.
I hope that since they take on the 'Dark Hadou' story along with Ryu and Ken's story, they move on to more about fighting Shadaloo and M.Bison in the possible sequel.
The Streetfighter movie is loads of action-packed fun, with callbacks aplenty to the SF2 Animated Movie and the original Van Damme film. The casting is on point, with everyone looking the part and obviously having fun with their roles. There are action scenes throughout the 2-hour running time, including a lot of high quality animated scenes that serve mainly as flashbacks. The film is mostly light-hearted but is mindful to let moments of drama or heaviness stew. I wish there were more big setpiece battles and fights between certain characters, but perhaps we can get that with a sequel, which this film is quite open to. All in all, I left the theater smiling and I say, give it a watch you may be pleasantly surprised. I will say seeing Justin Wong and Maximilian added to my enjoyment, but that's cause I'm a fighting game oldie.
Just came back from watching the Streetfighter movie. Still processing lol. First off, the cast was great, I loved everyone, casting was good to perfect in terms of looks at least. The action was hard-hitting and a lot more grounded than I thought it would be- nowhere near as campy or over the top as the first SF2 Live-action, but still the movie doesn't take itself too seriously, which is good. But unlike MCU films, at least it lets dramatic moments stew without feeling the need to always throw a gag in. It's a fun watch that I think is very much geared towards fighting game and SF fans, but simple enough for normies to watch. It does end with sequels in mind, which I hope they do somehow. I had fun! :)
\\ POISON IVY.
Gotham's GCPD tried to take back their headquarters. They became her garden instead. 🌿
Our own take on Poison Ivy, reimagined in a painterly animation style. Would you watch the rest of Batman's villains get the same treatment? who should be next?

Oh sh*t...this is top tier...
It's over. We're just gonna make our own stuff now.
You can't look at this and tell me you didn't feel something. And that's all that great media needs to do to not be "slop".
