" To walk in my own way, free, with an eye to see things as they are... yet with all modesty to say, my soul be satisfied with flowers, with weeds, with thorns even; but gather them in the one garden I may call my own."
-Cyrano de Bergerac

@MGM199022 Very close. Ringworms. Millions of them in every square metre of soil on earth, apparently.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

I just learned that one type of animal makes up 80% of all individual animals on earth. Without googling it, any guess what it is? No cheating!

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@MGM199022 Not talking biomass. I mean the raw number of individual animals.

@mikewilsonart Neither, but you’re on the right track

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@dojokuncomics I’d wager very few have, yet they apparently make up the overwhelming majority of individuals on Earth.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@dojokuncomics Not fish.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@CharlieSnogans Me either. I was sitting outside eating lunch, watching ants, wondering if they were the most numerous thing out there. Even with quadrillions of them, not even close.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@Debbieannx11 Sounds like you haven't been to Maccas recently. It's $70 for a family of 4 now too.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@Debbieannx11 Wife spent $200 the other day, but when she came in with 5 bags, I was like, where's the rest??? I've gotten my meals down to about $10 each. Can't go any lower than that.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@CharlieSnogans There are apparently millions of them in any given square metre of soil, and they're in the ocean too.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@CharlieSnogans There are some smarties out there who took biology in college, I'd reckon.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@PharaohDolla @paulis_mobus Eww

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@ChristopherR119 @AlexvrbX @FillPops It’s the devil’s kitten

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

Whatcha doin up there, possum?

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@DonalTDeLay Beardzerker, Goodyng and maybe Lumina Vhox

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@paulis_mobus Apparently there are millions of them in every square metre of soil, and they live in the water too.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@ChristopherR119 @AlexvrbX @FillPops

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@paulis_mobus Yep, exactly that. Ringworms.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@CreatorverseTV You have good instincts.

[Michael Bancroft @thelucentcomic]

@JEGSpro Not fish, though I do believe they're found in water.
