It has long been a desire to cover the #StarSpangledBanner but it wasn’t until a week before the country’s 250th that the song called out to me. When I couldn’t get the anthem out of my head, I noticed I was singing my own rendition and decided to document it to share on the 4th.

On Friday, March 13, 2026, I released #MonophonicAcousticStomp to model what to expect from The ‘Lurryman. It was conjured up in 6 days and released on the 7th to represent what this particular journey is all about: simplicity, rawness, imperfection and free artistic expression.
