יותר מ-200 אלף תיעודים בארכיון אחד. אלפי עדויות, שמות, תאריכים, סרטונים והצלבות. הכול מול העיניים שלנו. כי הבורות הישראלית היא כבר מזמן לא מחסור במידע אלא עמדה פוליטית. וההכחשה איננה כישלון בהבנת המציאות, אלא מנגנון שמאפשר לה להימשך.

ולתקשורת הישראלית יש חלק עצום בזה. בזמן שעיתונאים בעזה תיעדו את מותם, עיתונאים ישראלים עסקו בשאלה איך זה נראה בעולם. במקום לחשוף את המציאות, הם עזרו לייצר חברה שמסוגלת לא לראות אותה.

יום אחד ישאלו כאן מה ידענו ומתי. אבל השאלה ההיסטורית החשובה באמת תהיה איך הצלחנו לדעת כל כך הרבה, לראות כל כך הרבה, ולהפוך את עצם הידיעה למעשה של בגידה.
