Are you tired of trying to "breathe" your stress away? Is mindfulness not boding you well?
If you feel like "just breathing" makes things worse, there’s a neurobiological reason behind it. When the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) is in high-gear, the Prefrontal Cortex goes offline. You can’t reason with a body that feels like it’s under siege.
In high-arousal states, forced "deep breathing" often leads to hypocapnia (CO 2 depletion), causing dizziness and chest tightness. This mimics the very panic you're trying to stop. To find the "Off-Switch," you will have to go bottom-up.

In psychoanalysis, trauma is not merely about what happened. It is what the mind buries alive in order to survive (Aversive content & memories).
Unresolved emotions & past events which have been pushed into the unconscious don’t disappear—they return in the forms of anxiety, hyper-vigilance, depression and identity gaps.
These unconscious issues manifest themselves not solely as the aforementioned, but strikingly in our behaviour, our relationships, our choice of partners, our choice of clothing, and dare I say the creation of a VTuber Model.
But that last part will be saved for another day sweethearts.
