The world's tallest thermometer in Baker, CA is for sale for just $1.85 million.
Fun fact: it's 134-foot height commemorates the record-breaking 134°F temperature recorded in Death Valley back in 1913.
All this gibble gabble about Nolan’s Odyssey and NO ONE can see the objectively correct solution.
Muppet Odyssey. Everyone would love it. Helen of Troy could be green or blue … or a pig … and no one would care.
It’s perfect. All we need is to pick out the token real human. It’s your call …
While you can go ahead and do this, the most likely reason some sellers have multiple in stock is that they had their employees/friends buy it individually, not that they were allowed to buy multiple as a single entity. The only way to stop this is to print to demand.
Wizards advertised "1 per customer" to stop bots & scalpers, but Goblin Storm sold out in ~34 min with a broken queue. Thousands waited hours just to see "sold out" while resellers already list it at double price.
This is deceptive advertising.

Hey Riftbounders! We've seen and heard your frustrations re: too many Legends in packs (and to a lesser extent, Battlefields). Hang in there - we've got some changes coming in a future set, and we'll share that plan with you within the next few months. Thanks for your patience!
@The_Tahoth@binder_grinder Also I kinda doubt it was actually 40 $1 cards. Mostly cuz vendors almost never take those to shows. It was probably $2-$4 cards.
@The_Tahoth@binder_grinder Yeah the problem is, especially at a show you can’t say yes to this. Because then you’ll have 100 people rush to your booth trying to take advantage and wanting the same deal.
@The_Tahoth@binder_grinder So if I’m understanding you correctly as a vendor I should trade 1:1 $40 of bulk(priced at $1 each) for a $40 card? I mean sure I’d do that, but literally only the stupidest customer would ever make that trade. Generally people don’t want bulk…that’s why it’s called that.
I could quite literally write a dissertation on everything wrong with this line of thought. I’m sure this guy is perfectly nice, but man please go take a class in economics or read a book or something. Stuff like this really irks me.
At a card show. I pick out some cards and ask vendor if I can trade for them.
“Uh sure we trade at 80%”
“Why?”
“We run a business.”
“You can still meet your margins if you sell the cards you trade for at market though.”
“Yeah I’m not gonna debate you on this”
I left.
@The_Tahoth@binder_grinder You bring stuff that moves. Also his point is not valid even a little bit. Why would you spend any time trading at 100% when it doesn’t net you any money. I can just sell the $40 card. Also you buy bulk at like 10 cents on the dollar at most. It’s just not worth the time.
@ChefGreginald I would love to say I’ve never heard this take before but you wouldn’t believe the number of times I had customers ask me very similar questions, or try to explain the economics of cards to me when I was standing behind the booth. Its one of the reasons I don’t do it anymore
@Jace_TCG Trading cards is a service that vendors offer. You are paying 20% of a card’s value for them to trade your cards for their cards whenever you want. In exchange you get access to a huge inventory of cards that would otherwise take time and effort to locate.
Yeah I think at this point aurora just needs to go. It’s not about power level really in an absolute sense, only 1 aurora deck in top 8 shows the deck is very beatable. But orange specifically is designed to be the midrange color, and aurora crowds that out.
Best ofs:
Sivir - Aurora
Mf - Aurora
Khazik - Aurora
Jax - Aurora
Garen - Aurora
Poppy - Aurora
Volibear - Aurora
Rengar - Aurora
Fiora - Aurora?
Yi - Real deck
Xyi - Real deck
Lucian - Real deck
Hmm you guys sure showed us how bad Aurora was this weekend :D
