@BosniaNTBall@BILD I realized that some BiH NT fans arw not too happy with his performance in the WC. I would have expected that even at least a division 2 team in EU would be interesting in signing him. It feels like him going to Saudi Arabia is just maybe for the money.
@LundukeJournal I admire your dedication to this, but in all honesty, what's the point when you have projects like Devuan already in existence? Don't they cover almost all the same bases?
One of these days I have to figure out why people have a problem with systemd.
@EnverMegot@BuddyKnoxi5ix@cirijab43791 honestly, it’s also a little unfair and selfish to claim these girls are Turkish when many are either from or have recent ancestry from Bosnia or Sandžak. Nationality and ethnicity are complicated, especially in countries made up of many different peoples like Türkiye is.
@EnverMegot@BuddyKnoxi5ix@cirijab43791 Instead of going in circles over people who clearly chose another path, Bosnia should focus on developing local talent and finding diaspora players who actually want to represent us.
It’s better to have people who want to wear the shirt than people who don’t.
@EnverMegot@BuddyKnoxi5ix@cirijab43791 At the end of the day, these athletes had options. Some could have represented Bosnia, Serbia, or another country, but they chose Turkey. Nobody forced them. That was their decision.
@EnverMegot@BuddyKnoxi5ix@cirijab43791 I get the frustration, but calling them traitors is silly, some of these girls were born in Turkey & may be 2nd or 3rd gen there.
By that logic, Esmir Bajraktarević is a “traitor” to the U.S. because he was born and developed there, yet chose Bosnia. See how absurd that gets?
@EnverMegot@BuddyKnoxi5ix@cirijab43791 Turkey had a law where when you become a citizen of the country, you need to naturalize your last name. I'm sure they're not the only country that does that.
@cirijab43791 Instead of endlessly debating about these people who chose another path, we and our beautiful Bosnia should focus on developing and supporting the athletes who genuinely want to represent the country. That's the only thing we can control.
@cirijab43791 That said, nobody put a gun to these people's heads and forced them to represent Turkey. They made that decision of their own free will, no one else is at fault except for them. They are not traitors. They're just athletes that made a decision for themselves.
@cirijab43791 I understand your frustration. Bosnia is a small country, our population isn't large, and we're still dealing with political dysfunction, so every talented Bosnian athlete who chooses to represent another nation feels like a missed opportunity.
@cirijab43791 Sad that they chose to represent a different country, but this is sort of looking at things from the perspective of the U.S. re: Esmir, in that he was born in the U.S, and rose up through the ranks of the U.S. youth national team & development, and then he chose 🇧🇦 over the 🇺🇸
@karmen_wwe I was kind of hoping that it would go into extra time and potentially penalty kicks, but to have the game essentially decided by the VAR camera and a rough was a huge disappointment period. Our guy Zlatan said as much after the game.
The way it ended was sranje.
@TheDavidVinc I'm interested in what it might be but considering its square enix, it's probably going to be like what you are saying here. I would be surprised if the DLC was maybe like where you can play AC.
@LinuxSeb This was a weird game for me. On one hand, I was hoping Croatia would win. But on the other, I wanted to see Cristiano Ronaldo win the World Cup. I gotta say the last few minutes and that Var replay was sranje.
Bosnia walks into this match thinking it’s 50/50.
But they forgot to carry the USA, divide by FREEDOM, multiply by AMERICA, and subtract all their confidence.
The numbers don’t lie… and they spell DISASTER for Bosnia.
🇺🇸 HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME! 🇺🇸
