Seek for discomfort, not pleasure
Nicotine in high doses fucks up your motivation system. Your body can adjust to nearly all doses but your motivation will still be fukd above 8-10mg in my experience. When you lower the dosage your brain will go brrrr trying to find replacement for the good feeling and you will be less agreeable and more motivated to do everything and anything for 1-2 weeks before it settles to new baseline.
Try adhd medicine or go completely off every stimulant, including coffee and just drink matcha.
Most often I have noticed the inability to break cycle of bad decisions is wrong breathing. Go sit somewhere and take deep breaths, do not sleep. This will signal your brain to not be in panic mode anymore and you can do adult decisions again. Also drinking a big glass of very cold water will help alot and relax the vagus nerve (swallow reflex + cold exposure)
Push through any exercise past whats comfortable. When your brain says stop, dont unless its a joint pain or similar clear injury risk. Doing this will make everything else easier in your day.
Take 5 deep breaths and long exhales throughout the day, remind your body how it should breathe when relaxed. A mentally active day may induce wrong breathing and this sets your body into fight or flight again. If you cant concentrate enough to do 5 you know you have a problem and should keep trying until you can.
Stretch. Wrong muscles being tense can make you constantly anxious without you knowing, and even affect erections. Check especially adductor magnus, longus and brevis aswell as gravilis. Especially if you sit a lot this will become an issue. Your hips can literally be constantly in the wrong position all the time. This will also affect sleep, walk, back pain and everything else without you noticing. Literally the biggest change of my life.
