@Andrew76427461@betsyXkorch@ATN_47@puckempire If you ask a retired athlete who's career earnings are over 150m and never won, if they would trade 25 or 50m for a championship, I'm sure some of them probably say they would and if they say they wouldn't, well that's exactly why they never won. Look at Jalen Brunson in the NBA.
@Andrew76427461@betsyXkorch@ATN_47@puckempire Because sometimes teams have cultures and the players prioritize the chance of winning in the future over milking every last penny when you're already going to be generationally wealthy. The lifestyle doesn't change much having 112m compared to 166m.
@puckempire The player would also have to be willing to both completely fuck his current teams cap situation, stay there after fucking them and also possibly leave and fuck his future teams cap situation. 166 million to be a villain or take like 112m and be a fan favourite.
@AwayTeam1101d@PuckReportNHL@PuckPedia@ThePHWA I mean Ozzy Wiesblatts brother died in a car accident in September and he went on to play his first fulltime nhl season at 24. He had to battle for his spot and it couldn't have been easy while going through that.
@NHLlnsider67 I think Hage is really good and will be a great player, but I do not think Marty would be trusting the kid after what, 5 games before playoffs? He's nowhere near where Demidov was last year and likely would've had VERY limited ice time or scratched completely.
@galen_shannon@NHLlnsider67 Trading Hage is an awful idea unless it's a superstar back like Thomas or something. That kid is insanely talented and could very easily be a huge part of this team as soon as next playoffs. Keeping him is very much in the cards and to say they "need to trade him" is ridiculous.
@MikeBartner 2+ mil for 17 seconds doesn't sound dumb to me.
I also disagree with you that it ruins the chance at another payday, if anything it hypes it up and shows maybe she can actually have a serious fight against some other washed goats like cyborg or something. Either way shes happy
@JeremieLapierr3@DemidovHabs That line should've been broken up by now. They get stuck in their own zone every other shift. Haven't been good all playoffs.
@Suzy4Selke@CanadianPens That doesn't mean I wouldn't rather Lane. He's proven to be elite offensively and has looked fine defensively. Schaefer has more to prove, but I can see why someone would say his ceiling is higher. He's a top 5 skating, puck moving, sniping Dman with tools to become generational
@Suzy4Selke@CanadianPens Havent seen anyone say Schaefer is elite defensively, mostly seeing obvious facts like he has better tools than Lane and a more well-rounded defensive game when comparing at the same age, which even as a huge Lane fan I find hard to argue. Lane has limitations, Schaefer doesn't.
@coopchex@Brock_Seguin He was gassed because it was 3 on 3, and we brought 1 player who is a puck moving D then abused him. He shouldn't have been out there again so soon. They had the top 4 players playing hero ball instead of as a team.
