BREAKING: The White House has released the full text of the US-Iran MOU, which confirms full US capitulation to Iranian demands. Iran's top negotiator and Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf in a new interview called this final MOU the ultimate "America's failure."

The 14 key points:

1. Permanent termination of war on all fronts including Lebanon, with US and Iran committing to never initiate military operations against each other and to protect Lebanese sovereignty

2. At least $300 billion in reconstruction and economic development funds for Iran from the US and regional partners

3. Permanent termination of all sanctions including UN Security Council resolutions, IAEA Board resolutions, and all unilateral US primary and secondary sanctions

4. Full release of all Iran's frozen funds and assets, up to $100 billion total, with the Central Bank of Iran designating beneficiaries

5. Iranian sovereign administration over the Strait of Hormuz with only a 60-day free passage waiver, after which Iran begins collecting transit fees from every commercial ship

6. Full removal of US naval blockade within 30 days and withdrawal of all US forces from all US bases around Iran within 30 days after the final deal

7. Iran retains its full enrichment infrastructure with only existing stockpiled material to be down-blended on-site under IAEA supervision, with no new concessions on its existing NPT commitment

8. Iran's missile program and support for Resistance groups are explicitly removed from final deal negotiation scope

9. Mutual recognition of sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs, formally legitimizing the Iranian regime

10. US commits to no new sanctions and no additional forces in the region while Iran maintains its current nuclear program status quo

11. Immediate US Treasury waivers for Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, and all banking, insurance, and transportation services

12. Friday's signing will trigger a 60-day final deal negotiation period, extendable by mutual consent

13. Joint executive mechanism to monitor implementation and final deal compliance

14. The final deal will be endorsed by a binding UN Security Council resolution

Iran via Tasnim has confirmed this is the final MOU, with Ghalibaf adding "everything we sought to achieve through military action was secured several times over at the negotiating table, in a way that cannot even be compared."

The points summarised are as follows:

1. The U.S. and Iran, and their allies in the current war, by signing this MoU, declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.

2. The U.S. and Iran will respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs.

3. The U.S. and Iran commit to achieving a final deal in a maximum of 60 days, extendable with mutual consent.

4. The U.S. will immediately begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against Iran, and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. During this period, the traffic will be in proportion to the number of pre-war traffic being restored by Iran. The U.S. further undertakes to remove its military forces from the proximity of Iran within 30 days after the final deal.

5. Iran will make arrangements for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman, and vice versa. The traffic of commercial vessels will immediately start, considering the need for removing the technical and military obstacles and demining, within 30 days. Iran will conduct a dialogue with Oman to define the future administration and maritime services in the Strait of Hormuz in discussion with other Persian Gulf littoral states in line with international law and the sovereign rights of coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz.

6. The U.S. undertakes with its regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least USD 300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of Iran, as part of the final deal after 60 days. All required licenses, waivers, and permissions will be granted.

7. The U.S. will terminate all types of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the UNSC resolutions, IAEA Board of Governors resolutions, and all unilateral US sanctions, primary and secondary, in an agreed-upon schedule as part of the final deal.

8. Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The U.S. and Iran have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpile enriched materials, pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph seven, with at a minimum a downblending on site under the supervision of the IAEA. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to Iran's nuclear needs.

9. Pending the final deal, the U.S. and Iran agree to maintain the status quo. Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, and the U.S. will not impose any new sanctions and will not deploy additional forces in the region.

10. The U.S. undertakes that immediately upon the signing of this MoU, waivers will be issued for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, and derivatives, and all associated services, including banking transactions, insurances, transportation, etc.

11. The U.S. undertakes to make fully available for use the frozen or restricted funds of the Islamic Republic of Iran upon the implementation of this MoU. The U.S. and Iran will mutually agree on the procedures related to the release of these funds during the negotiations.

12. A monitoring mechanism will be established to supervise the implementation of this MoU and the subsequent deal.

13. After signing this MoU and subject to the beginning of the implementation of paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11, and the continuing implementation of these measures, the U.S. and Iran will start negotiations regarding the final deal.

14. The final deal will be endorsed by a UNSC Resolution.

IMPORTANT:
A clarification on the reported U.S.-Iran agreement.

Earlier reports made it sound as though a final peace deal had already been reached & that Friday’s signing ceremony was largely a formality.

That is not what Iranian officials are now describing.

According to Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi, what has been finalized is a memorandum of understanding & framework for ending military operations, lifting the blockade & opening the way for further negotiations.

A formal signing is expected on Friday.

However, a further 60-day negotiating process would then follow, covering sanctions, the nuclear file, economic reconstruction, implementation mechanisms & verification of commitments.

Iranian officials also stress that entry into those negotiations is conditional on the United States first implementing its commitments regarding the end of the war, lifting the siege & releasing assets.

In short, this appears less like a final settlement & more like a framework designed to stop the fighting & create the conditions for a broader agreement.

The immediate question remains the same:

Can Trump deliver Israel?

Because if military operations are indeed meant to end on all fronts, including Lebanon, then Lebanon may provide the first real test of whether this understanding holds in practice.

A word of caution, however. We have heard talk of agreements, imminent agreements, understandings & breakthroughs before. Friday is still a long way away in military terms, & the road beyond it is longer still.

Much can happen between now & then. There are many stages yet to navigate & no shortage of actors capable of derailing the process.

Celebrations may be premature.

BREAKING: 14 POINT MOU BETWEEN IRAN-U.S TO BE SIGNED ON FRIDAY

1. The permanent and immediate halt of war on all fronts, including Lebanon.

2. A U.S. commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

4. A U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from the areas surrounding Iran.

5. The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian “arrangements”.

6. The suspension of oil sanctions, petrochemical products and derivatives, and Iran’s full access to the financial proceeds from them.

7. The requirement for the US & its allies to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion.

8. Sixty days of negotiations to reach a final agreement based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of primary and secondary U.S. sanctions, as well as UN Security Council resolutions and resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors.

9. Iran’s reiteration of its commitment under the NPT not to produce nuclear weapons.

10. During the negotiation period, the U.S. has committed not to add to its forces in the region and not to impose any new sanctions.

11. The release of $24 billion of Iran’s frozen funds during the 60-day period of final negotiations. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before the negotiations begin.

12. The formation of a supervisory mechanism to implement the agreement.

13. The final agreement will be approved through a UN Security Council resolution.

14. Final negotiations will not begin before half of Iran’s frozen funds are released, Iran’s oil sanctions are suspended, and the naval blockade is lifted. The final agreement will be limited only to the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, sanctions relief, and the program for rebuilding Iran’s economy.

Note: Discussions about Iran’s missile program and support for Resistance groups have been definitively removed from the agenda.

Sources said investigators were searching for his aide, Sumit Roy, after leads emerged during the interrogation of arrested former Medinipur MLA Sujoy Hazra. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reportedly arrived at the residence shortly afterwards.
2. ED conducted searches at seven locations linked to TMC MLA and former minister Madan Mitra in the municipal recruitment scam. Raids covered his Dakshineswar residence, Bhawanipur party office and other premises. Investigators are probing allegations of bribes for municipal jobs and examining documents, cash and bank account details recovered during searches.
3. The ED also searched businessman Sanjib Ghosh's premises in connection with the wider recruitment scam probe.
