Teaching the stuff men used to be expected to know
Real skills. Real competence. No fake alpha bullshit.
Become the guy people want around when shit goes bad.
@r_rana77591@LeftismForU And for the record I feel that people that are offended by this word have a cognitive disability. People that are handicapped are handicapped. People that are offended by words are retarded.
My aunt was seriously mentally challenged. I would have never called her or anyone else that’s handicapped retarded, that’s awful.
The way that words have been manipulated to attach feelings to them are “word play” and not real.
There are a million other current examples and I don’t fall for any of it. You shouldn’t either.
@B76999713@ole_bearded@LeftismForU Ironically, one must retard the timing when adding boost or giggle gas so the engine doesn’t blow up. Sometimes, to make more, reliable power, you gotta get your retard on.
@PawlysMum@LeftismForU Yeah, and “blowing smoke up someone’s ass” used to be a legitimate medical procedure for a drowning victim.
We’ve however moved on from that being the pinnacle of medical science.
Now it’s a pejorative for a charlatan.
See how humans evolve?
Sure you can. That’s a technical term however and a statement of fact, not emotion. “Retarding the timing” on an engine refers to setting the timing event AFTER top dead center of the piston on the compression stroke of an internal combustion engine.
Not at all referring to intellect/ medical conditions etc.
Retarding means “to slow down or delay progress.”
Like the people’s brains that are offended by this word.
I didn’t serve due to a spinal cord injury when I was a kid, but my whole family did.
My brother’s a retired SEAL and told me a good story. It was hell week during Buds in 1997 and they were dropping like flies. It was late at night and they were getting surf torture and generally hating life. They were cold, shivering and doing the gay huddle for warmth to keep them out of hypothermia. The moral was at a low point. My jumped up and did an entire dance/singing number to “I will survive” and had everyone singing it at the top of their lungs. The instructors were doing everything they could to stop from busting up laughing with them, so they sort of turned around and milled about smartly while the sing along was happening.
Then they made them all get wet, but nobody dropped out the rest of the day.
@amiKozak Well done. You are very talented, keep it up!
I was trying to place your Candace impression and get a little Vince Vaughn from “Made” days and a touch of Trump…lol
I totally agree, I went to a dead concert for about the same amount of time. Most of my close friends and workmates love the dead and constantly listen to it. It drives me nuts. They have a couple of good songs, but what I always say to them Buzz is this…
“These guys may play some good songs as soon as they’re done warming up!” Because that’s what it sounds like to me, a Highschool rock band without a leader and everyone trying to tune their axe….lol
@BretWeinstein Is there anything anymore that can’t at least be considered a psy-op? We are indeed living in a brave new world and it is entirely up to us to parse out the bullshit. Please, you and Heather keep doing what you do.
