Beginner's guide to AWS VPC Design ⚡

This guide primarily aims at individuals starting in DevOps or CloudOps roles.

We used an example application/infrastructure architecture as a basis to design a VPC

It covers the following key concepts

- How to choose CIDR for VPC?
- Avoiding IP Address Conflicts
- Subnet design
- Private Subnet Access Methods
- Egress Traffic Filtering
- VPC Documentation
- NACLs.

AWS Cloud networking is a vast area. This guide provides just enough concepts to get you started.

This is what engineering is about: Safety, Functionality and Efficiency in that order👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

The sacred triad of engineering—safety first (because lawsuits and Darwin Awards are nobody's friend), functionality second (it has to work, or what's the point?), and efficiency last (polish it up once it's not going to explode).

It's like building a rocket: if it doesn't kill the crew, and it gets to orbit, then we optimize for fuel sipping.
