NASA just finalized its strategy for a "continuous heartbeat" of humans in LEOโa commitment I called for in my recent OpEd https://t.co/q6ebclLG27.
Sustaining LEO is key to innovation, research, and growth.

Humbled to see @TheRealBuzz share my recent OpEd on continuous human presence in LEO. An honor to have these ideas resonate with one of the greatest pioneers in space exploration! https://t.co/q6ebclL8cz ๐๐ #SpaceExploration
This is an interesting opinion piece highlighting the merits of maintain a continuous human presence in LEO โ an increasingly important topic as we get closer to the deorbiting of the International Space Station. There are some very good practical points raised here that are worth reading. Thank you for putting pen to paper!

@TheRealBuzz Thanks for reading Buzz! It is a SERIOUS issue and we have to make sure NASA/USA does not move away from a permanent human presence in LEO. Iโm glad you enjoyed my work and I hope our generation will continue the exploration legacy that youโve trailblazed.
@devilcaresnada@TheRealBuzz With humans on board all you had to do was screw in a bolt. But if the space station is unmanned, thereโs no way to fix it, and the past 3 years of work are for naught!
@devilcaresnada@TheRealBuzz 2) Researchers arenโt perfect (I know from experience). Imagine spending years on a project that you sent to a space station only for it to malfunction from something thatโs not your fault, say a loose screw due to the vibrations on launch.
๐ Humans belong in spaceโnot just for missions, but for the long haul.
