This week at The Masters Guild we are kicking off the semester with our first course, “How to study the Bible,” taught by Prof. Colin Smith. Throughout the course, students will cultivate a deep love for God's Word rooted in a new understanding of 'how' the Bible is written.

The last Sunday of the spring semester was busy and incredible for the Masters Guild students! We had our first performance of “Jacob: the Wrestler of Jabbok," went on a trip to Conesus Lake for a cookout and games, and ended the day with smores and songs around a campfire!

Although there is so much to do in the last weeks of the 2022 Spring semester, yesterday marked our last day of classes. Dr. Hamby taught on how King Jeconiah's life revealed the reality of God's boundless mercy. What a spectacular end to our Biblical Theology class!

Last week, we had the opportunity to host a concert with Michael Card and Jeff Taylor. The Lamplighter chapel was filled with such a deep sense of sobriety and wonder as these talented musicians sang to remember the death, suffering, and resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Today was the Guild's first rehearsal for the musicians performing in our upcoming musical! We are enthusiastic to bring these original songs to the stage, using the talent we have on campus!

This week, we are excited to host Michael Card at the Masters Guild as he teaches “The Imagination Series.” We will be focusing on how to approach God’s Word by seeking inspiration from the gospels and using reason to discover its hidden treasures.

Coming to Lamplighter is a musical rendition of the story of Jacob. Staff and students are working ceaselessly to prepare all-new set design, scripts, costuming, and music! See us take a unique spin on this classic Bible story and experience an evening you will not soon forget.

Dr. Lew Sterrett took his class to Letchworth State Park! Each student had to search for an analogy in nature that could explain an eternal truth. At the end of the trip, we presented our findings and left understanding how God designed nature to reveal Himself to mankind.

Lew Sterrett taught his first class, Biblical Leadership Through Nature. We learned how God’s orderly system for building the world teaches us the best system for construction. It's incredible how God's word is so full of practical life lessons! We look forward to learning more.

Today, it was our joy to meet Caleb and Melisa Gibello: a family of missionaries from Papua New Guinea. They visited for a tour of the campus and told us of their experience translating and teaching the Bible overseas. May God prosper them in their endeavors to spread the gospel!

We just finished recording our newest audio drama “Crown of Success.” Praise God for giving us a smooth recording session, and for blessing this production. We look forward to seeing how this story changes families for the glory of God.

It's our second day of recording "Crown of Success," capturing the moments that will teach children how to fashion their lives with wisdom and diligence. Between bird squawks, fireworks, fanciful bubbles, and unique characters, this adventure is bound to be one of our best yet!

Week 11: Lamplighter heads into recording week! We are currently producing "Crown of Success," a story about four siblings who must wisely furnish their homes to win the Crown of Success. Keep an eye out for more updates on the recording process throughout the week!

God gave us the privilege to minister at the Salvation Army’s rehabilitation center in Rochester, NY. Dr. Hamby spoke a powerful message, we handed out copies of our Lamplighter books, and the choir sang songs of worship! Such a lovely opportunity to share God's love and truth.
