Tyler Adams was asked how he feels about USMNT legends such as Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, and etc being critical of the team.
Adams sees no issues with it. In fact, he likes it even more because it shows people care.
He was speaking to The Late Run recently. 🗣️
“I'm happy they have these expectations for us,” Adams said.
“Because I think they see the same thing that we see in ourselves, that we're a bunch of talented players.
“Now we got to bring it together and have success, and you know, for me, it's on the biggest stage you have to do that.
“Everyone thinks that this thing of expectation and criticism is a bad thing. But like, if we're worth talking about, it’s a good thing. You know what I mean?
“Before, I think people wouldn't even talk about the national team or talk about the players on it. Now we're making waves at some of the biggest clubs around the world.
“Like, people want to talk about us. That's fine. That's what comes with the business, man.
“So I think for me, it's about now showing up at this World Cup and really putting something on display that people are happy of.”
