MYTH 5: “Filling my tank early in the morning gives me more fuel.”

TRUTH: This sounds logical because cooler fuel is denser. But fuel is stored underground, where temperatures are relatively stable.

So don't wake up at 5 a.m. just because someone told you your 20k will buy more

MYTH 4: “Turning off the AC saves me a lot of fuel.”

TRUTH: Your AC does use extra energy, but switching it off doesn't magically transform your fuel consumption.

The difference can be relatively small, especially in modern vehicles.

MYTH 3: “I must warm-up my car for several minutes before driving.”

TRUTH: That's largely an oldcar habit.

Modern vehicles generally don't need several minutes of idling before you drive. Start the car, give it a moment, then drive normally without unnecessary hard acceleration

MYTH 2: “Premium fuel (Petrol/Diesel) will make my car perform better.”

TRUTH: Not necessarily.

Higher-octane fuel is useful for vehicles designed or recommended to use it. If your car doesn't require it, paying extra doesn't automatically mean better performance.

MYTH 1: “My car was doing 80 km/h and another car doing 120 km/h still overtook me.”

TRUTH: If both speedometers are accurate and both cars are travelling at those speeds, the 120 km/h car is moving faster.

Your car isn't “faster” simply because it overtook another car.
