Using invisible technologies to create or enforce social norms could also be beneficial, but only if we are concerned with understanding which norms, why, and how technologies are enforcing.

No matter how much they try to disguise underhanded practices of subjugating others in the name of prosperity, only in the eyes of those who are already under their immeasurable dominion, they will have the appearance of innovators of reality.

Of course, there are obviously potential risks that come with these new types of relationships, but ultimately it is possible that human-AI friendship will constructively increase people's lives

While for some building relationships with #ArtificialIntelligence does not make sense and should even be avoided, for others relating to #AI is just a natural extension of relating to other things in our world

But people are already developing ties to #robots as, while quite different from the human counterpart, the #AI within is already helping us deal with the deep urge we all feel for social connection by providing physical comfort, emotional support, and enjoyable social exchanges.

Of course, there still has to be political will to limit the negative impact of harmful #technology, but thinking outside the box and preventing rather than fixing can help change the conversation, how people are educated, as well as the overall #ArtificialIntelligence culture

Too often, we care about #ArtificialIntelligence negative impact only after implementation. What if we acted on potential harm earlier in the process?

According to Stanford HAI, requiring #AI researchers to evaluate their proposals for any potential negative impact on society before being green-lighted for funding, could be for example a key step towards mitigating the negative outcomes of #ArtificialIntelligence.
