If you think interior design is only about the color or pattern of the materials, let me give you a hint:

It's not.

It's about procession, layering, adjacencies, vantage points, views, framing, proportion, etc.

Those are the things that determine comfort, mood, and, ultimately, vibe.

If you have trouble appreciating a space because the throw pillows are not your favorite shade of chartreuse, consider that what you're responding to is decoration, not interior design.
