@artwithinpod doesn't it feel like the opposite of trends from before, having seen older generations resistant to change and skeptical of new technology? what do we think makes AI different in their minds, is the total loss of agency its selling point?
@carebecc Having recently rewatched all the films, it might be possible for a SAW special "Guess The Kill" as the design of each scene is pretty distinct, and Graessle could join in the guessing ... 🤷♀️
@sapphicgiallo@deadmeatjames@carebecc talking about your Bond project reminded me of this fascinating thread, the volume of connections here is haunting 🧐
@GalenShark@lowcarbcomedy Also target audience (repressed trans 90's kid), and it does bring up a good question drawing lines around the genre: does horror need to hit a certain broad appeal (metaphorical or actual of more common fears/anxieties) to be considered horror enough?
@lowcarbcomedy@SwixxWins Agreed, the photography and editing and sound are superb, I wish it was on BluRay! it's eminently watchable as a comicbook-horror or Marvel completionist.
@deadmeatjames I have to believe that many people would pay for a Nebula-type subscription just to get Dead Meat content covering older movies. Imagine if we only talked about recent books, we’d quickly see an implosion of culture as everyone forgot the past.
