@travishb@KeithSmithNBA So it doesn't matter if the player is retired or not. If the team holds their rights, then there has to be a hold to account for their salary if they ever came out of retirement. Since the Lakers wanted to use their cap space, then it didn't make since to keep the holds anymore.
@travishb@KeithSmithNBA Until those retired players rights are formally renounced, there's a cap hold for their salary against the team that has their rights. If a team is over the cap, it doesn't matter if the cap hold is there because the team doesn't have any available cap space to use anyways.
@NBAPR@NBA@NBADraft I think the biggest positive about this is that it allows teams to move up even if it's not to a Top 4 or Top 5 pick. That helps teams like my Heat who are perennially stuck in the middle to get better picks.
@KevinOConnor I think the biggest win for this is allowing teams stuck in the middle (like my Miami Heat) a better chance to move up in the draft and add significant talent. Even if a team doesn't win a top 4 pick, the chance to still move up to other picks in the lottery is nice.
@FastbreakHoops5 On the jump stop, he slightly moved his left foot forward and THEN used it as his pivot foot for the step through. It's technically a travel but it would have been clean if he hadn't moved his left foot forward. Those little movements are hard for a ref to call at full speed tho
@GovRonDeSantis Is this the type of college environment you want in Florida? Do you consider this "indoctrination"? Asking for a friend...

@irlington Casual NBA fans and media would never let an NBA player live that down if that happened. These one-on-one's happen all the time in practice and behind the scenes. But they are never publicized because NBA players know how it will be taken. They'd never do it for ASW.
@irlington Just saw your 1-on-1 NBA All-Star tournament article. Never gonna happen. Do you watch the Unrivaled 1-on-1 tournament? Last year Aaliyah Edwards shut out Brianna Stewart 12-0. Nothing wrong with that. Edwards couldn't be stopped and Stewie never had a chance. (1/2)
