@hughhowey What's your editing process look like? (Assuming you were on an actual desert island and had no editor lol). My current process is: *starts rereading* "What was I thinking... Scrap it all and rewrite!". Obviously hasn't been working for me. Do you break it down into sections?
@ParkerMolloy I and other trans men I've talked to have had really not great experiences with CVS pharmacy techs not filling our prescriptions for no real reason, which is why I've switched to Walgreens directly through my doctor. Cause fuck that.
Holy shit. Well, we just "whoops'd" an 18-hour stream. And it was SO. FUCKING. FUN. We got the chance to fight for JUSTICE with @Kitboga, and then we gave @Sodapoppintv a makeover and got a BRAIN-BUSTING host from him. I had such a fucking blast, guys. LOTS MORE GTA THIS WEEK!
Yes!! So many times as a baby tech person I ran into language like this. "Since you've obviously been doing C# shit since you were a zygote, just like do this one thing that has a trillion steps I never mentioned. Cool tip huh?".
The #1 word I delete in tech article drafts is "simply".
I do think that word is a bit exclusionary in that it's very possibly someone reading doesn't find the task simple at all.
But moreso, it just isn't needed in the sentence. It reads better without it.
Gmorning to the distance between you and okay
The logistics of your morning
The call you have to make
The work to be done
The coffee
There are things to be learned while you navigate the distance
It’ll be okay
You’ll get to okay
If Second Life taught us anything, it was that most people when given the choice would either be: hotter than themselves, an animal, an alien, or all three.
Dear tech companies,
Employees don't need ping pong tables or beer fridges at work. 🙅♂️🙅♀️
Employees need flexibility to do their best work and enjoy life. For instance, working remotely. 🙋♂️🙋♀️
Please offer trust, not toys. 🙌
