@16thSMA It's a start for sure. It's going to be a hard culture shift but I'm glad we're starting it. Like you've highlighted before, it starts with squad and team level leadership. "..the accomplishment of my mission and the welfare of my Soldiers". I think those need to be flipped.
@16thSMA but a lot of these young Soldiers and young NCOs simply don't have that Army maturity required to appreciate the magnitude of being an NCO. I think we need slow the roll a little with junior promotions and I think bringing CPL back has been a good start.
@16thSMA I really like the idea of STEP, but at the SSG level I'm seeing a lot of junior SGTs getting their stripes at 3yrs and they barely know how to be Soldiers. Us SSGs should be doing everything we can to develop and train,
@DoctorStantz_ it's a plague of both sides. lumping everyone from one side in with the extremists of that side is just as dangerous. Both Democrats and Republicans have good people trying to do what's right but the villains of either side want us convinced that everyone on the opposite is evil
