@TAHK0 The general consensus among the fandom is that it will end with Gen 9. The TeraLeak documents also mentioned it being a three year series. Though that’s probably extended into four, now.

@earthtojj @AshStash__ Not quite what happened. Ash-Greninja was custom made by GameFreak for the anime after the series’ director requested a visual transformation to highlight Ash and Greninja’s bond specifically

@MagusDevon @AshStash__ Sort of, but not quite. The anime’s director wanted to highlight the bond between Ash and Greninja being greater than normal. But it felt hard to do without a visual transformation like a mega. So he went to GameFreak, and they made A-G themselves as a compromise
