@daveatherton Excellent!! More and more European politicians are speaking up about the root of the problem.
This👇 ratio of the EU leadership that is promoting globalism is priceless! A must see @daveatherton if you haven’t already.
When Victoria Nuland, her entire staff, the U.S. State Department, and the Department of Defense made their plans, they certainly did not expect the Russians to claim their military base in Crimea and the most strategically important port on the Black Sea. Nor did they expect the referendum. They hadn't anticipated that either.
At some point, Trump got in the way, and things stalled. Then they resumed what they had started earlier, escalating the situation in Ukraine to the point of the violent climax they desired. In Russia, it eventually became clear that they were under pressure to act. Regardless of the move they made, it would have unpleasant consequences.
However, when you sum up everything that has happened so far, you can only congratulate Russia. They secured their own sovereignty and security interests on a historically significant territory. Additionally, they protected their population and asserted themselves in a conflict that the U.S. had envisioned differently.
The U.S. has certainly failed in all its objectives. There was neither a regime change nor a financial weakening of Russia, nor a military weakening to an extent that couldn't be compensated by new recruits. One must not forget that Russia hasn't really waged war here.
And if we are honest and look at how the U.S. or Israel conduct their wars and how quickly they level civilian cities, then you can only say:
