@kyotosparty I only like to do it when it reflects the character! A career adventurer or a one-track-mind wizard would be more minmaxed than someone who has more diverse interests and experiences before adventuring, yk?
Trying to decide how best to write about the psychology of my new dnd character because I want it down on paper but I don't want to actually force my DM to read an academic dissertation on a fake little woman I hallucinated vividly for my own amusement.
@helenseidolon This thread is so good holy shit. ๐ฏ, absolutely. Reminds me of that iconic chapter in Ways of Seeing that deconstructs the psychological effect of constantly having to threat assess how you are being seen in order to stay safe from those who see you.
Post your OC as:
Romanceable NPC (the mysterious local woman who yearns for more than a simple life)
Questgiver (the quiet sister who begs for your help in a time of need)
Final Boss (the plague bringer)
