I was already having a difficult day yesterday, and to top it off, WAEC made it even worse.

@waecnigeria, how do you make children write an exam at 5:00 PM?

Yesterday, my niece left home at 7:30 AM for an exam that was scheduled to start at 9:00 AM. The students, however, did not begin writing until 5:00 PM. She didn't get back home until 10:30 PM and had to leave again by 7:20 AM this morning for another exam.

Considering the insecurity challenges facing the country, how could you allow people's children to remain at school all day and sit for an exam at 5:00 PM that was originally scheduled for 9:00 AM?

This is grossly irresponsible, unfair to the students, and completely unacceptable.

We still have 40 children in the hands of terrorists, kidnapped from their school and yet to be brought back home, Do you want to add more children?

Today is children’s day, but 46 innocent children learning in their classrooms in Ogbomosho, Oyo state were kidnapped by gunmen.

It’s been two painful weeks already and these children are still not home with their families, suffering out there in the cold and enduring fear and uncertainty that no child should ever know.

This is a National crisis and the government must use every resource necessary to bring these children home. Nothing else matters in this moment.

We owe our children a safer country.

@_AustriaUpdates I use the option one for my line but every 3 months. My line was stolen 3 weeks before I went to Naija but it was quite easy to recover; the 1st office didn't have network so had to go to a 2nd one. The charges are crazy though 🤣 N200 for 3 seconds.

I am sick to my stomach watching that video of the teacher being beheaded in Oyo State.

You dedicate your life to teaching mathematics and building the next generation, only to be abducted and slaughtered.

This is not life!

The primary duty of ANY government is the protection of lives. If a teacher cannot even be safe inside a classroom, then nobody is safe. Security operatives are dying, and citizens are bleeding. We are not angry enough!

We cannot normalise this madness. The government must wipe out these monsters and bring the remaining teachers home alive. My heart bleeds for Mr Oyedokun. He did not deserve this. My deepest condolences go to his family.

Chocolate sold in America is going through 2 changes

Almost our entire candy isle for chocolate in America will be effected by 1 of these 2 new techniques:

- Lab grown chocolate
- Genetically modified chocolate by gene slicing

“California Cultured is the startup company that's growing cocoa cells in a tank. A lot of you asked, is this just one company? No, it's the entire industry”

But wait till you hear what the Mars candy company's doing that's far worse in my view.

Here's what every major player in the chocolate industry's doing right now

- Lindt is investing in lab-grown cocoa
- Mondelez, the maker of Cadbury, Oreos, and Toblerone, is investing in lab-grown cocoa butter
- Barry Callebaut, the world's largest cocoa processor, is investing in cocoa cell culture

Barry Callebaut isn't a name you'd recognize on a wrapper, but they supply chocolate to Hershey and Nestlé under long-term contracts. When they move, half the candy aisle moves with them”

Here’s where things get really scary

Global chocolate demand's rising about 3% every year. At the same time, 70% of the world's cocoa comes from West Africa, and West Africa is getting hammered by droughts, higher temperatures, and a nasty virus

Pests and diseases cause yearly losses of about 30 to 40% of the total global cocoa production

So major companies have decided to grow it in a lab or genetically modify the trees

The question is whether the solutions they've chosen are proportionate to the risk

I’d say no, absolutely not. We all know the second these things are done they will start selling it to us with no long term safety studies and no idea how it will effect our health

Banke Alawode left home around 5:55 AM on Thursday *(12/03/2026)* in Maku, Iyana Church, Ibadan, Oyo State. She dropped both of her phones in her bedroom before leaving.

Family members noticed that she opened the gate and closed it. When her brother went to check shortly after, she was nowhere to be found.
