Since so many of you were interested, I made this short practical guide on How to Read Theory using the Spiral Method! I hope this helps you feel confident enough to read some of the amazing books in the radical feminist political/philosophical canon

I’ve noticed that some people on radfem twt don’t read as much theory as they want to and seem a little intimidated by it. — If I made some resources showing people how to work with complicated texts like these, would you be interested to use them?
@Dagoths6thHouse I have no idea why your monogamous heterosexual self spends all day thinking about men getting fucked in the ass. Try therapy or a bathhouse, Mary
Boomer men will be like “you know what’d be a great idea? A late in life second marriage to a woman that will try to steal my estate from my children for the benefit of her own after I die. I can’t see how that would be bad at all. Fuck it, I’m gonna do it.”
@geka9400 The average age women have their first kid in America now is 27-28? So I guess they’re technically statistically right but… you’re still right when it comes to everyday life
I’ve said for years that many people only engage with their families for inheritance. that’s why therapy exists, to get people to stay in families and marriages theyre miserable in just long enough to get the check. This is why no-contact is such a big deal now. Proving me right!
@ArsenioBertolii@LlcPharm I have a very strong family history of personality disorders, addiction, cancer, diabetes. No one has lived past 70 with their mind intact in three generations. I have bipolar with psychotic features, CPTSD and arthritis and I’m 28. I absolutely should not reproduce.
@PlayBackPr13326 I think it’s really sad that anybody’s relationship with their family would be that conditional and and especially around finances. Do you care about your family or do you just want their money? Are you nice to them because you care about them or because you want the house? Sad.
@ButlersRanger If you’ve raised competent children, this is not something that should be on your mind when you’re on your deathbed in your 70s or 80s. Your kids would be well over the age of 30 or 40 and if they haven’t been able to make it by that point, I don’t really know what to tell them
@LlcPharm She believed in the prosperity gospel and in John 10:10. Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, until it overflows. I’m happy she had it.
@PlayBackPr13326 I would be happy for someone who got to spend the last 15 years of their life doing whatever made them happy in their old age whether they were family or not. I don’t have to benefit to be positive.
@ArsenioBertolii@LlcPharm If I’m happy that my grandmother spent the last 16 years of her life doing whatever she damn well pleased, call me whatever you want. I have been sterilized, I’m not having children, and I do not begrudge the fact I’ve had to pay my own way. It’s been just fine.
@Ben_Dennis_ He already has :) my grandmother spent every penny my grandfather left her. Entire family crying about inheritance getting wasted. If my grandpa wanted them to have the money, he would’ve left it to his kids in 1994. He didn’t. He wanted my grandma to have fun and she did! Good!
@LlcPharm I talk this way because my grandmother spent every penny my grandfather left her. Entire family crying about inheritance getting wasted. If my grandpa wanted them to have the money, he would’ve left it to his kids in 1994. He didn’t. He wanted my grandma to have fun and she did!
