I do find it insidious that Muslim men specifically use this Hadith to appear more superior to Muslim women, because I HAVE seen this Hadith being used in that context plenty of times. Just know that the Hadith has no basis in Islam, nor the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

As-Salam Alaykum everyone, the first thing I would like to debunk is this notion that if someone was commanded to prostrate to anyone, it would be Muslim women being told to “prostrate to their husbands.”

To put it shortly, the Hadith is weak. Here is the proof by Maryam Amir:
