I didn't agree with a lot of stuff Charlie said especially against Indians, but he was an idealist, a principled and calm person who was open to the free exchange of ideas.

He was good at promoting the idea of free-speech. He was good at letting people speak before countering them but he thought the other side was also as principled as him.

He believed ideas will be countered with ideas but that has never been the case of left ideology historically. Now the left ideology in alliance with islamism is like the revival of intifada
