Again, a man's principles and values are revealed more from how he treats those "beneath him" than how he treats those above him.
Wicked men can be kind to their bosses at work, honour a celebrity preacher and be respectful to a wealthy friend.
But his wickedness will fully manifest once he stands before those who are lowly in status and substance.
His arrogance will thrive once he is around those he thinks he's better than,
His disdain for humans will show when the poor and illiterate try to keep company with him.
Who you really are is what you do around those you don't need and how you treat the weak and vulnerable.
🎶Hymn of Heaven | Phil Wickham
“…And every prayer we prayed in desperation
The songs of faith we sang through doubt and fear
In the end, we'll see that it was worth it
When He returns to wipe away our tears.”
The Lord’s day is not a day to make a name for ourselves. The delusion of a great name must leave our pulpits. The spirit of babel should not be in our gatherings. Don’t use the Lord to make yourself lord. There’s only one Lord, and He will bring us into His sabbath someday.
The early church knew the power of God, but they also knew the fear of the Lord. This “It’s in us” theology has not only made us forget our place, it has made us forget our God.
Every local church should have a public statement of faith, and every member should test with scripture. You can only discern what you know. Where the church is led by private theology from the pulpit, hero worship abounds and the casualties are often many. Know what you believe!
Redemption doesn’t make anyone sovereign. No angel is under our rule. Gnostics think themselves to have an autonomous right over angels. There’s a way to use the Psalms that leads to Satan’s deception, where instead of turning to Christ, you become so obsessed with angels.
Beautiful Savior, fullness of heaven
Though we have nothing, here we receive
Jesus, You call us now to remember
You were the offering for all who believe
You laid Your life on the table
Broken like bread, poured out like wine
We sing what a wonderful Savior
Jesus, our King…🎶🙏
The church has always known prayer as a way to commune with the father. The Lord himself taught his disciples how to pray. In Acts 4, Peter and John prayed with the church after being threatened. Having a church service where everything is confession isn’t apostolic. Pray to God!
Tomorrow is the Lord’s day! If the lack of musical instruments is what is keeping you from a sound local church, maybe you don’t love your soul. If the pasture is TRUTH, sit down there! Truth is what you should be looking for. The days are evil!
As a believer, the only “umbrella” you have is Christ! He is the MUST! The promise in Acts 2:38 is the Spirit. We have all come to drink of One Spirit with diverse workings. Our boast is in the Lord who does as He pleases, for His purpose and our good.
