42% of all income taxes go to paying the interest on the national debt. If my Penny Plan were signed into law, instead of the monstrous spending bills that expand government, we could balance the budget in less than 10 years.
There are 3 places we end up:
1) Steer our government away from economic collapse.
2) Economic collapse, and then:
a. renaissance,
b. totalitarianism, or
c. national divorce
3) Slow devolution into Chinese style communism and central control. No one remembers freedom.
$4,000 per year per American.
That’s how much interest we are paying on the debt to banks & foreign countries every year.
A family of four owes $16,000 per year for nothing but interest on the debt!
I lost my re-election because I voted against the policies that caused this.
Dudes are out there making 20 bucks an hour and commuting to work, paying 2 or 3 hundred more a month in gas on top of paying 4 times more for food and this fuckin clown gives zero fucks.
If you had trusted the settled science of the day, here is how it would have gone.
1890s: you dose the baby with Bayer's new cough syrup, the non-addictive alternative to morphine, marketed for children. It was heroin. They named it after the German for heroic.
1900s: you rub calomel teething powder on your infant's gums. It is a mercury compound, and it leaves a generation with pink disease. Swollen, peeling hands and feet, screaming for months, and some of them died.
1910s: you cook in Crisco, launched by a soap and candle company, because cottonseed oil is modern and lard is what your mother used. The process that made it solid produced trans fat, banned outright a century later.
1920s: you drink Radithor, certified radioactive water, on prescription. Eben Byers took fourteen hundred bottles for his vitality. His jaw was removed in pieces and he was buried in a lead coffin.
1930s: a chemist dissolves a new sulfa drug in diethylene glycol, which is antifreeze. It kills 107 people, mostly children, and only then does America give the FDA power to demand safety testing.
1940s: your doctor lights a Camel in the surgery. More doctors smoke them than any other brand, and the advert runs in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which sold him the page.
1950s: DDT is sprayed over your kitchen, your garden and your children at school. The man who found its insecticidal properties has already been given a Nobel Prize.
1960s: your wife takes thalidomide for morning sickness because it is remarkably safe. More than ten thousand children are born with missing and shortened limbs.
1970s: the country puts down the butter and picks up the margarine, on the instruction of the American Heart Association. The fat everybody switched to was banned in 2015 as unsafe at any level.
1980s: the fat comes out of everything and sugar goes back in to make it edible. Obesity begins a climb it has never come off.
1990s: your father is prescribed OxyContin, because fewer than one per cent get addicted. The company later pleads guilty to criminal misbranding, and the overdose count runs into hundreds of thousands.
2000s: you take Vioxx for your knee. It is pulled in 2004, and the FDA's own safety officer estimates tens of thousands of excess heart attacks.
Not one of those was fringe. Every one had a professional body, a literature and a man in a white coat standing behind it.
Nobody who followed that advice was stupid. They were obedient, to the most qualified people available.
Settled is a word about money. It means the questions stopped being funded, so they stopped being asked.
So which of today's instructions will your grandchildren read out in disbelief.
The oil washed in hexane and built into every cell you own. The statin that blocks the pathway making your hormones, to prevent one heart attack per hundred people. The injection where a third of the loss is muscle. The infant formula built out of vegetable oil.
All settled. None of it funded to be otherwise.
Of all the stupid things this administration has done…
Hiding Epstein files, trying to pass tariffs without Congress, advocating for more spending, ignoring DOGE, indemnifying glyphosate,
Starting a war in the Middle East will prove to be the biggest and most costly blunder.
Fauci must be prosecuted. Anyone who thinks Fauci is legally immune at every level, in every state, for every crime, because of some preemptive pardon issued by Biden's autopen is an idiot. He can be prosecuted and he must be.
For the last 2-3 years, me, @AnaKasparian , and yes @TuckerCarlson, have been saying it's really important not to conflate Israel with Jewish-Americans. For that effort, we were branded antisemites. Now that @jonstewart and @davidaxelrod are saying the same thing, which I'm grateful for, this obvious point is being taken more seriously.
Did anyone come to our defense as we were trying to protect our Jewish brothers and sisters from getting tarred by all the hideous actions of the Israeli government? Yes, millions of Americans and we love them for it, including tons of Jewish activists for peace.
But did anyone in national media defend us for holding the line on that really important distinction? No, they largely helped our attackers and helped to smear us.
I think I have said this stat more than everyone else in media combined - 63% of Jewish-Americans are against the current Israeli government. So, blaming them for actions of a foreign government that they oppose is nuts. But defending the Israeli government by hiding behind those Jewish-Americans is also unacceptable.
Are we ever going to have an honest national conversation about America's relationship with Israel or is the national press forever going to smear critics of Israel as antisemites and smear Jewish-Americans as enthusiastic supporters of genocide?
Any member of the Trump admin that wants to run for POTUS in 28 who has defended Trump’s war in Iran and not spoken out against it publicly, has stood with the admin on the coverup of the Epstein files, and refuses to publicly apologize to the American people for the creating more inflation and high gas prices with the Iran war, will not be trusted.
64% of Americans are against the Iran war, and it is a complete betrayal of campaign promises.
The Epstein files are still not fully released, which has been one of the biggest issues the American people demanded in recent history.
Lowering cost of living and gas prices was a key campaign promise that had been completely broken because of Trump’s Iran war making costs of living even worse for the American people.
You won’t get to walk out on 2028 presidential stages with your anti-neocon tough talk and try to tell us this time will be different because all we will see is your blood stains from 18 US service members and children of the Minab girls school.
We won’t believe you when you claim to bring transparency and accountability because the Epstein victims will still be crying out demanding the Epstein files and justice they never received.
And if you utter the phrase America First claiming to focus on a domestic agenda, we will laugh at you because your pockets are lined with AIPAC, MIC, and other corporate pac dollars that always fight against putting regular Americans first.
YOU are in power right now.
End the war and bring our beloved troops home immediately.
Release the files and prosecute pedophiles and rapists, even if they are your donors and friends.
And put 100% of your focus on domestic issues that lower inflation, costs of groceries, and gas and energy prices for the American people.
We no longer live in the failed two party system and will no longer be controlled by it.
Both parties, no matter who is in charge, put us in deeper debt, continue to ruin the value of our hard earned dollars, and always drag us into foreign war after foreign war that feed the debt, ruin the dollar, and kill people.
It’s gross.
We are done.
We won’t vote for you anymore because the other side is worse than you, there’s no difference, both are disgracefully bad.
Approximately 45% of Americans are independents.
We don’t need the two parties anymore.
This is precisely the point. Groceries overall aren’t cheaper today than they were in 2024. So if you considered grocery affordability a problem in 2024, but not a problem in 2026, the only reason is politics. And everyone knows it. Were you pretending back then or are you pretending now? It’s one or the other.
Many of the self-labeled “free-market conservatives” simply do not understand free market economics and wonder why young Americans are turning to socialism after those same “conservatives” defended endless war financed by money printing and debt and bailouts over the last few decades and then told everyone to pick themselves up by their bootstraps
Yes, we generally are much more prosperous and comfortable than our great grandparents. We are much more prosperous and comfortable than people in third world countries. That’s true. It’s also an incredibly unpersuasive and irrelevant answer to the affordability crisis.
You would not be satisfied with ineffective and counterproductive medical treatments just because it’s still better than the treatments your ancestors received. You would not be satisfied with a car that only goes 20 miles an hour just because it’s still faster than the horse and buggy your great great grandpa drove around. You would not be satisfied with a house with a leaky roof just because it at least shields you from the elements better than the mud hut African tribesmen live in.
We are an advanced modern first world country. We are supposed to be the greatest country in the world. That’s the standard we should hold ourselves to. And in that country — not an African country, not a country in 1887 — a working man should be able to afford a house and groceries. That’s not entitlement. It’s not expecting the government to solve everything for us. It doesn’t mean that those things should be provided via government program. It’s just simply the most basic imaginable standard. If we’re falling short of it — and we are — then we need to figure out why, and how to fix it. It’s that simple. This really shouldn’t be controversial.
Americans now pay more in taxes than they spend on food, clothing, and shelter combined.
Think about that.
Government has become so big and bloated that taxes cost more than life's basic necessities. Every American taxpayer should be outraged.
The conservatives on here denying the affordability crisis are engaged in what I can only describe as an act of political suicide. They're also lying, which is the worst part. Grocery prices are up. Housing. Energy. Insurance. Health care. Basic living expenses. It's real. It's happening. Denying it just makes you look out of touch, deceitful, and untrustworthy. It's also a completely unnecessary and unforced error. No credible person is claiming that Trump caused these price surges. You don't have to disgrace yourself by denying the reality in front of your face just to prove your loyalty to Trump. The causes for the most part are multi faceted, complicated, and longstanding. That's true. So let's discuss them. Debating whether the problem exists at all -- or, if it does exist, whether it counts as a problem -- is a total waste of time, and makes you look like a shill and a fraud.
One of the problems with this claim is that virtually no Republican was making "the affordability crisis is fake" arguments during the Biden years. It's extremely transparent to everyone that the unwillingness to acknowledge these obvious economic challenges is at least partially politically motivated.
The second problem is that, no matter how thrifty your family might be, and no matter how cheap your homemade burritos, the significant rise in grocery prices over the past 6 years -- and the fact that the rise is continuing, not stopping, and certainly not reversing -- is just a mathematical reality. It can't be denied. It is a fact.
Grocery prices have gone up by 30 percent or more this decade. I'm happy for you if your family isn't significantly impacted by this problem. But it is real. And it is a problem. And conservatives better come up with an answer that isn't just "learn how to make cheap burritos" or we will get absolutely crushed. That's another reality.
The establishment Republicans have arrived to inform you that if you're worried about grocery prices, you're just a "whiney doomer" and really it's fine that prices have gone up by 30 percent because at least you're better off than someone who lived 125 years ago. This is a winning message. I'm sure the voters will respond very well to it. Good stuff, David! You're doing great!
🚨 WOW! Aaron Rodgers just WENT OFF
"I'm gonna plead the 5th...like that absolute COWARD! Tony Fauci! Absolute coward. Are you kidding me? You got a pardon, you pleaded over 100 times? What are you SCARED of Tony?! I thought you were the 'science.' You were 'I AM SCIENCE!'"
"And you get up there and can't answer a question?"
"And how much time did the network spend on that? How much time did they spend on my responses every week? My vaccination status? On Taylor and Travis' wedding? Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci?! I bet they didn't."
🔥🔥🔥

🚨 SHOCKING: RFK Jr. just dropped this on live national TV
Lyme disease.
RSV (the #1 killer of American kids).
COVID-19. All of them came from gain-of-function research. His exact words: They’ve been engineering the diseases that are destroying us… and then calling it “science.” This isn’t a conspiracy theory anymore.
This is the HHS Secretary saying it out loud.
“Lyme disease almost certainly came from these experiments and is now devastating our country.”
“RSV came from a laboratory, which is now the biggest killer of children in our country.”
“And of course, the COVID-19 pandemic…
All of those have been linked credibly to gain-of-function research.”
“It’s something with enormous costs and no proven benefits.”
Grocery prices are insane. They’re still rising. Addressing this problem should be the number one priority of every elected leader. End the stupid foreign wars and focus on this issue. It’s one of the main reasons socialists are gaining power.
