I have consistently held this view. The whole narrative of the selfless, noble civil servant is a myth we’ve been fed for generations. If you look at the bureaucracy logically, it operates just like a cutthroat corporate machine, but with almost a permanent job security.
The vast majority of bureaucrats aren’t driven by public welfare; they are driven by the ultimate human motivator: CALCULATED SELF-INTEREST. They enter the service to maximize their own utility, accumulating power, social status, and personal comfort. To them, the "public good" is just the marketing language used to justify their own necessity.
True institutional reform is a high-risk, zero-reward endeavor, so the most logical, selfish choice for a bureaucrat is to keep the system convoluted. For example, a self-serving bureaucrat will intentionally keep a public welfare process manual complicated rather than automating it, purely to ensure that citizens have to beg for their intervention, keeping the official relevant and powerful.
In this environment, relationships are entirely transactional. The masks of camaraderie, friendships or even institutional loyalty slip the second a scarce asset like a prestigious posting or a powerful committee seat becomes available.
Bureaucrats don't fight out in the open; they use sophisticated, corporate-style hit jobs to eliminate rivals. You see this when even "trusted" colleagues or even batchmates, quietly unearth an obscure, decades-old procedural lapse from a “friend's” file and anonymously tip off the department just to knock them out of the running for a promotion or a good posting.
The people who surround a powerful officer aren't admirers; they are investors looking for their returns. The moment that officer is transferred to an insignificant department, that circle evaporates overnight.
The genuinely selfless, public-spirited officers are a microscopic minority, so small you could literally handpick them on one hand. And the system treats them like a foreign pathogen. Because they refuse to play the game or protect the vested interests of the majority, they are deemed "unreliable" and systematically purged. They get buried in punishment postings like the archives or redundant advisory boards completely hidden from the public eye.
Ultimately, the few idealists who survive don't change the vast machine; they just learn to survive it. When they eventually retreat to seek inner peace over powerful titles, it isn’t defeat. It’s just the logical realization that the ultimate luxury in a toxic, self-serving system is preserving your own sanity and walking away with a clean conscience.
Whenever governments fall, regimes change, and citizens are left wondering what just happened behind closed doors. Always remember this: Politicians are merely the actors on stage, it is the invisible, self-serving machine of the bureaucracy that actually owns the theater and writes the script.

Modi made Melody valuable while clicking a picture with it in Italy 🇮🇹
I request Modi ji to click a picture with Rupee too so that its value increases too.
Shekhar Suman on fire on Shekhar Tonite 😂🔥
India, please understand:
The reason PM Modi cannot stand up to President Trump despite his repeated threats is the ongoing U.S. investigation into Adani.
One threat is to expose the financial links between Modi, AA, and Russian oil deals.
Modi’s hands are tied.
Reporter: Should there be Hindu Rashtra?
Youth: No, infact India should never be Hindu Rashtra
Reporter: Why
Youth: Coz you'll never find a Politicians son on the road during riots, they all are either studying or settled in Foreign while these Netas want us to defend Hinduism
IMPORTANT: Yet another high profile corruption case from UPA era falls flat. ‘Not an iota of evidence, CBI miserably failed": Delhi court acquits all accused in 2012 Bander Coal block case. Please think of HC Gupta, former coal secretary, widely acknowledged in IAS circles as a man of integrity, whose reputation was destroyed by alleged coal scam. What does it say about CBI’s track record in such cases? https://t.co/akXu6ce8Rf
BJP called him the ‘silent PM’.
But Dr Manmohan Singh had the courage to stand up to the US, tell them that the Iraq invasion was wrong, on the American soil itself.
And the so called “56 inch” PM Modi is Surrender!
Every sensible person already knew that the Liquor Scam was Fake
Putting opposition leaders in jail before elections on false charges is a crime against nation and India’s democracy that Narendra Modi has committed.
Also: PM Cares Fund is the Real Scam.
Comrade R. Nallakannu’s life was a rare example of integrity, simplicity, and unwavering commitment to the poor and the marginalised.
For nearly nine decades, he stood firmly for justice and dignity. My heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and countless admirers.
Bro is Rahul Gandhi
Bro is LOP Lok sabha.
Bro has explained Failed Trade deal beautifully.
Let me explain it to you:
Indian garments face an 18% tariff in US.
Okay?
Other countries like Bangladesh get 0% tariff.
Okay?
Modi government never told Indians full truth.
Okay?
To get 0% tariff, India must import cotton from US.
Okay?
This condition was hidden from the country.
Okay?
India exports cotton to Bangladesh.
Okay?
If India imports US cotton, our cotton farmers will suffer.
Okay?
If India doesn’t import US cotton, our textile industry will suffer.
Okay?
Either way, India loses.
Okay?
Bangladesh is now hinting it may reduce or stop importing cotton from India.
Okay?
Crores of Indians depend on cotton farming and the textile industry.
Okay?
This BJP government signed a deal that harms both.
Okay?
We need to Change this BJP govt ASAP if we want to see a stronger india.
Okay?
The government is scared to allow the Leader of the Opposition Shri @RahulGandhi to speak in the Lok Sabha because they know that their theft has been caught.
At 8:15 pm, on 31st August 2020, four Chinese tanks with infantry support were climbing toward Rechin La in Ladakh and were already within a few hundred metres of Indian positions. Gen. Naravane made urgent calls to the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Doval, CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat, and EAM S. Jaishankar, asking: “What are my orders?” His orders were not to open fire “till cleared from the very top.”
As the Chinese kept advancing, his repeated frantic calls to Rajnath continued. But to no avail. He was denied any clear operational guidelines from the political leadership and was caught between “the Command who wanted to open fire with all possible means” and a government committee “which had yet to give me clear-cut executive orders.”
Finally, at 10:30 PM, after speaking to the PM, Rajnath Singh called Naravane back only to say that the PM’s instruction was “Jo uchit samjho, woh karo” (“Do what you think appropriate”).
Khoda pahad nikla chooha.
Naravane’s account reads as a serious indictment of the government. Two hours and fifteen minutes is an eternity in a live military standoff. The delay exposed India’s territorial security to risk born out of hesitation and indecision.
The instruction - “Jo uchit samjho, woh karo” - was not operational freedom; it was political withdrawal. The Prime Minister’s responsibility was to make the hard call between escalation and restraint in the face of a potential war with China. Instead, the burden of that decision was pushed downward.
The carefully constructed strongman image cultivated since 2014 is performative. The rhetoric of muscular leadership rings hollow when, at the moment of greatest strategic danger, responsibility is avoided.
The writing is on the wall: Modi's “56-inch chest” was always a lie. Narendra Modi is a coward.
If you earn ₹30 lakh, you pay ~₹5.7 lakh tax
₹24.3 lakh left
Now you buy a car worth ₹20 lakh, you pay ~₹5.6 lakh as GST & cess
₹4.3 lakh left
Now you spend ₹1 lakh on fuel in a year, you pay ₹55,000 as tax
You pay tax on things that are already taxed, using money that has already been taxed.
Truth has prevailed
The malafide and illegality of the Modi govt stands fully exposed. Proceedings of ED against the Congress leadership - Smt Sonia Gandhi Ji and Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, in the Young Indian case have been found completely illegal and malafide by the Honourable Court.
The court has ruled that the ED case is without jurisdiction, it has no FIR without which there is no case.
This politically motivated prosecution by the Modi government over the last decade, of the principal opposition party stands exposed before the people of India.
No case of money laundering, no proceeds of crime and no movement of property - all baseless charges that have been a part of political witch hunt, propaganda, reputation assassination and campaign which stands defeated today.
Congress party and our leadership are committed to fighting for truth and for rights of every Indian - we cannot, and will not be ever intimidated - because we fight for the truth.

National Herald Case
Shame on ED for alleging money laundering in this case
Have been saying for years that the Gandhi’s are innocent
ED should use its time and efforts to investigate the real money launderers and not follow the tune of the Pied Piper !
Truth and Justice Prevail!
The Modi government’s misuse of power and malafide intent have now been exposed before the nation. The Honourable Court has clearly held that the ED proceedings against Congress leadership, Smt Sonia Gandhi Ji and Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, in the Young Indian case are illegal, malafide, and without jurisdiction, as there is no FIR and therefore no case.
This decade-long, politically motivated prosecution of the principal opposition party has been laid bare before the people of India. With no money laundering, no proceeds of crime, and no movement of property, the baseless allegations that fueled a sustained campaign of witch hunt, propaganda, and reputation assassination have been decisively rejected.
The Congress party and its leadership remain steadfast in fighting for truth and the rights of every Indian, undeterred and unafraid, because our strength lies in truth.

Modi ji has a deep dislike for two things - the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi and the rights of the poor.
MGNREGA is the living embodiment of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Gram Swaraj. It has been a lifeline for millions of rural Indians and proved to be a crucial economic safety net during the COVID pandemic.
Yet, this scheme has always unsettled PM Modi. For the past ten years, his government has systematically tried to weaken it. Today, he is determined to erase MGNREGA altogether.
MGNREGA was built on three fundamental principles:
1. Right to employment - anyone who demands work must be provided employment
2. Autonomy for villages to decide their own development works
3. Full wage support by the Central Government and 75% of material costs
Now, Modi ji wants to transform MGNREGA into a tool of centralised control:
1. Budgets, schemes, and rules will be dictated by the Centre
2. States will be forced to bear 40% of the costs
3. Once funds run out, or during harvest season, workers will be denied employment for months
This new bill is a direct insult to the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. After destroying the future of India’s youth through massive unemployment, the Modi Government is now targeting the secure livelihood of poor rural families.
From Sadak to Sansad, we will oppose this anti-people bill.
"People went to jail, faced lathis for saying "Vande Mataram" during British rule
Name any 4 of RSS people who went to jail for shouting Vande Mataram."
Sanjay Singh literally destroyed RSS-BJP's agenda in few minutes.
No wonder BJP fears Sanjay Singh
