We will thank our CM when he wishes us on our festival and we will call out our elected CM when he does not wish for our festival, or wishes on the wrong day. Credit and criticism where due, its really not that hard to understand. This cuts across party lines.

You can hold the CM accountable for his governance and policies - that is the economic sphere. This is the cultural sphere where similar accountability has not yet been established. Somehow TN has normalized that its ok for DMK CMs to not wish for Hindu festivals alone, as long as they deliver on governance. Nope. Nada. An elected government cannot act partisan. Man does not live by bread alone, and to tolerate being treated like a doormat is NOT ok.
