After months of nothing, I’ve just shared another #blogpost. This one’s about how crucial books are to creating memories and key moments in our lives.

There is little to celebrate at the moment in a world which seems increasingly restrictive, cruel, and close-minded. America might be centre stage right now, but we all need to think, speak up, and act if we want a more inclusive and freer future.
(2/2) And the rifle’s dread glare, bullets bursting in air,
Gave truth in our sight that our flag was not spared.
O say does that scar-mangled banner yet save
Our land of the free and the home of the brave?
O say can we see, by the Gone’s early flight,
What so loudly we failed at the mornlight’s past gleaming,
Whose flawed stripes and strifed scars, through the perilous plight,
Our wan hearts, we watched, stirred and valiantly screaming. (1/2)
We need to object to this decision, not just for the rights of everyone it is already impinging on, but for all the fundamental human rights it will affect if we do not speak up and simply allow it to happen.
It is incredible that after fighting for hard won rights for so long, the world still seems to require us to fight the same fights, moving backwards instead of forwards. The precedent set by this decision threatens so much more than just abortion rights.
In her latest letter to Democratic lawmakers about the decision to end Roe v. Wade, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the Supreme Court was "guilty of a miscarriage of justice." https://t.co/sLRt2YJ76A
It is a dark time for women’s rights and this is a huge step backward. However, it is also a time when - through Roe v Wade - we see the denial of the most basic of human rights.
Hay fever has reared its ugly head again and I certainly have not missed it! Apparently there’s a particularly #highpollencount in Fife just now and I am sneezing my way through the day… #hayfeverseason
Just home from seeing the new #TopGunMarverick after a night of pizza and sunshine ☀️ A lot of male posturing and one heck of a nostalgia trip (in an entertaining/super OTT way.) Lots of fun and very ready for bed before another early start tomorrow!
