Fun fact: It's NOT possible for the earth to be flat because if it was, capitalism would have exploited it by now. The “ends of the earth” would be tourist destinations with theme parks and hotels and a damn swing set that would let you swing over the edge.

"Helldivers 2 is unbearable"
This really is not the case, representing my community I can say the "hardcore" players have just been left underserved and frustrated with how disconnected Arrowhead is from the core audience.
To clarify the core audience of this game is people who want to come together to do cool things and overcome overwhelming odds across the globe in the galactic war. That is the community that is being left in the dark not some turbo sweats.
Difficulty in the game moves in the arbitrary annoying route with things like war striders and the stealth charger change, this game has always been the hardest when there is an abundance of enemies.
Meridia: Bugged patrols the only era of the game we were able to push 4500+ kills and it was oops all hunters.
Hulk Surge: On and off of Cyberstan this was the most challenging the game ever was.
Spore strain rework: Spawns are insane and this is how they should be all the time, you don't need bricks of hp to make the game hard its all about chaffe.
Galactic war is dead outside of major updates, no events are ever ran and nothing of meaning ever happens anymore. Running surges on weekends is an easy short term fix.
"Endgame content"
This is being misrepresented, People DO NOT want number go up.
Most people just want armor transmog as they have just been doing that with most new armor sets anyways. The ability to pick your passives and dye your favorite armor makes your character feel like your own.
Vehicle bay alongside mech warbond would have made this one of the best updates instead of one of the worst.
Samples need to matter again because the extraction part of this game is a core part of it that has not mattered in a very long time.
TLDR: Everyone wants the kind of events we had in the first 6 months of the game and 2 years in we need more than shallow warbond content, it needs to enhance, improve and promote our choices as players.
Gaming in your 40s is hilarious.
Sometimes you don’t game for a week. Some days you get 8-10 hours to game your heart out.
Other days you pass out with the controller in your hand.
And on a day off you’re up at 6 am ready to get your game on.
Good times 😂
arrowhead view helldivers 2 as a slapstick comedy where a bunch of incompetent buffoons die every 2 seconds from random acts of carelessness from cheap, ineffective, mass produced equipment, and are constantly up against the wall against far more powerful enemies they had no chance of ever defeating
if you dont play the game this way, you're doing it "wrong" and they will go out of their way to make sure you're having the "correct" experience by making your turrets deliberately shoot you, giving eruptor shrapnel player magnetism, making DSS eagle strikes target you, nerfing all the gear they see as "too effective", and deliberately sabotaging major orders so that they dont accidentally portray super earth as even slightly competent
to me the game is at its best when youre with a group of friends who all know what they're doing, all pick a role they're good at, and are communicating and coordinating, and we get through a really difficult mission with little to no casualties because each and every one of us has been through the zero to hero arc and know that we could fuck it up at any time by being careless
myself and many others are frustrated because this game is so close to being a 10/10, but their incessant need for us to play the game "their way" and refusal to fix very easily fixable problems holds them back and it just feels like its being done out of spite at this point
