“You bloody well hope so. I hope so. For the sake of all the gays, I hope so.”
—— Sonoya Mizuno on if there will be more opportunities for romance between Rhaenyra and Mysaria.
@jrnewty@OneAutu41916887@x0Starlight Ah, I disagree. I have plenty of straight male friends who are pretty excited to see it too and it doesn’t affect their masculinity at all. They’re confident enough in themselves to not need to think about that. Anyone can enjoy and be excited by anything if you’re open minded.
@OneAutu41916887@jrnewty@x0Starlight Baby it’s ok to be gay, it shouldn’t be an insult to ask, especially coming from another gay person (me). Why would I consider what I am an insult on others if I’m not even slightly ashamed by it (and no one should be)?
@jrnewty@OneAutu41916887@x0Starlight But…Supergirl is a depressed alcoholic hot-head in Woman of Tomorrow, the comic that the movie bases itself on. The actress fits for this version of Kara, imo. You can watch CW Supergirl which is also pretty nice if you’d like to see the lighthearted supergirl attitude on screen
@OneAutu41916887@jrnewty@x0Starlight …Why do you think being called gay is an insult? I’m gay, it’s not an insult at all to me or the people I interact with, at least that’s not the intention. He, on the other hand, could have just said “I think she doesn’t fit the part” instead of saying a bunch of mean things
@OneAutu41916887@jrnewty@x0Starlight Its ok not to think she’s attractive, everyone has their preferences, but it doesn’t change the fact that there’s no reason to say she’s “below mid”, “looks like a female protester”, and things like that, that’s being mean to an actress that already gets a lot of hate for nothing
@jrnewty@x0Starlight ? it’s ok, I like the character, it doesn’t matter to me if the “movie releases like a sack of potatoes”, just the fact that there’s a supergirl movie is already a pleasure. I just don’t see the point of publicly calling a random person who never did anything to you ugly, like ?
