We are intensely disappointed in the @MTCBATA staff proposal to eliminate weekday bike/walk access on the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, without any of the public process & study that was promised.
Here's my outlandish concept for capping Philadelphia's Vine Street Expressway:
A massive elevated linear public space.
A pedestrian / bike superhighway that anchors a revitalized Callowhill and connects the Parkway to Franklin Square.
Our friends at UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation are putting this on tomorrow! @DonaldShoup is speaking on the High Cost of Free Parking. Don’t forget to RSVP!
@SFBART I learned a lot on this trip.
I learned that planning is important, but being flexible is more so.
I learned that traveling by bike is far more immersive and rewarding than by car (albeit harder).
I learned that I'm so fortunate to live in Northern CA.
I spent the past 6 days biking around Northern CA with two friends (@jerrigel2180 and Will). It was stunning, cold as hell, and so empowering.
What began as a mission to bike to LA transformed into a tour of Monterey Bay, Big Sur, and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
@SFBART Day 6/6: Santa Cruz -> Berryessa BART -> Berkeley
Our final day was exhilarating as we wove our way through the Santa Cruz mountains on Highway 9. The air was crisp as we descended into San Jose and biked to Berryessa BART. What a feeling it was to arrive back home.
Join us this Saturday to help us start gathering signatures!
Come have fun and learn about how to gather signatures in order to get repaired, safer streets on the ballot.

Thank you all so much for coming to our launch party last night!!! It's clear that what the Berkeley community wants is safe streets for everyone... so now its time to get to work 💪

I took a day trip to Stockton yesterday with Amtrak @SanJoaquins ! It was a great opportunity to soak in the city's history. I highly recommend taking bikes on the train, it was easy and made touring Stockton much easier.
Just published a little report on my commute to Marin this summer. It includes the good and the bad, including support for improved transit integration in the Bay Area. Check it out! https://t.co/hpcPCxMbH5
Just updated my website with recent work including the poster below examining a Melbourne activity center as a Transit-Oriented Development with lots of mapping and research. See my website for the HD version!
