it’s extremely important to learn how to be ok on your own. you have to learn how to pick yourself back up when you fall, provide for yourself, wipe your tears away & make yourself happy. having people there for you is truly great but you can’t depend on them to always be there
Major cheat code in life:
Be the one who reaches out. Text first. Call first. Plan first. Initialize first. Most people wait to be chosen. Be the chooser. Connection requires initiative. Friendship requires effort. Love requires action. Stop waiting to be picked. Start picking. Initiative is attractive.
when you feel your mental health is going bad again, try random things. clean your room, take a walk with no destination, enjoy your favorite ice cream flavor or just ghost everyone. these simple actions can help remind you that tough times don’t last forever.
Hate to admit it, but they were right… you kind of do need to disappear, lock in like crazy, raise your standards, and refuse to lower them to get your dream life.
