I will never shut up about the sketchy, textured look of 1960s Disney animation. There is so much warmth, soul in these rough, hand-drawn frames of The Sword in the Stone.
Like sometimes male anger at ‘women getting special treatment’ reminds me of a gorilla experiment. One gorilla gets a banana every hour. The females next to him get one every four hours. Then someone decides to be fairer and gives the females a banana every two hours instead. The original gorilla? He flips out. He's still getting his banana every hour, but it feels like a loss because his advantage shrank. That's how a lot of men react to basic fairness for women: not as justice, but as theft.
Summer really is the worst season.
People don’t actually love summer. They love the memories from childhood associated with summer and the hype around it.
The actual season is atrocious.
Getting sick and tired of you guys telling me I have to live with shit just because it exists. I don’t have to live with exclusively digital media, airborne pathogen ridden air, unrestricted generative AI, none of it. Y’all succumb to any and everything. Weak
What really bugs me these days is that we can't own anything anymore. Everything is a subscription. Adobe, Notion, Spotify. You don't just buy things once, you keep paying every month. You literally have to pay for everything forever. Isn't anyone else bothered by this ??
I’m still on a high from Pretty Ricky on Verzuz. Pleasure P doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I made a playlist a couple months ago with a lotta songs from their albums and I really wish they would headline their own tour. Praying for Slick’Em to get the help he needs and bring all the boys together.
Just finished watching the Earth, Wind, and Fire documentary. You can eat all the healthy foods for decades but adverse childhood experiences will take you out everytime. Goodness.
