@HappySoccerGuy Thoughts are that you’re sharing a post that incorrectly transcribes the video. Trump said, “Unless *your* team loses.”
This account was better when you were just knowledgeable about football instead of indulging absurd conspiracies.
@JuanG_Arango@ABannan11 11/26 players (42%) on the USMNT roster spent time in European Academies. 4 starters - Dest, Tillman, Robinson, Balogun - were effectively raised outside of the US.
But it’s fitting of discourse on this app that “rich white suburban privilege” is the culprit for USMNT failures
@TexasEx91@AmandaMAtwell Club soccer is a better quality product than HA soccer. Club leagues host showcase events that put dozens of teams in one location for a weekend. College soccer coaches don’t have football or basketball recruiting budgets. A weekend showcase is a much better use of time/budget
@Stmckay04@AmandaMAtwell College soccer isn’t even a primary pathway to professional soccer. Most of the players taken in the recent MLS draft are playing on MLS Next or USL Championship teams. Changes are in store but at the moment, the only benefit in the college route is quality of facilities.
@AmandaMAtwell Henderson’s comment recycles tired excuses that lack insight. US Youth Soccer alone cites ~2.5M kids in youth clubs in the US. That’s nearly 20% of the population of the country the US just lost to. At ~2.5M kids, it’s a fallacy that “most” of the “talented” kids are sidelined
@HornsFan29@seattletimes Insane crowds downtown and around Lumen had no trouble celebrating the Americans. Not shocking the Seattle Times would try to spin fringe opinions as something even remotely mainstream.
