eight years ago anthony bourdain who experienced so much of this world chose to leave it and i can’t help but think of sylvia plath’s quote “wherever i sat, on the deck of a ship or at a street café in paris or bangkok, i would be sitting under the same glass bell jar”
what is happening in hollywood? this wave of anorexia rn is unbelievable. when people are becoming sick without even realizing it, we shouldn't normalize extremely unhealthy body standards. they need help and support.
For me Barbie was the first feminist icon in animation. Endless careers, no prince needed, just a girl showing other girls they could be anything. That’s why we were all obsessed
why was she afraid of dancing? baby she doesn't have any energy bc she's sick and she needs help. we need to stop pretending like hollywood doesn't have a massive very dangerous problem right now. they're all withering away and dismissing it as "body shaming" isn't helping
i understand the perspective of not wanting to talk about women's bodies in a negative way, but when you're a role model for millions of girls, it gets to a point where it's extremely dangerous to pretend like this is normal and attack anyone who raises concerns with it
Is this bitch DRINKING while pregnant?! Sorry but if you are making the choice to use substances knowing it could potentially disable your baby then you should be charged with child abuse. If her child ends up with fetal alcohol syndrome I hope the law steps in and takes the child away from her. I will never understand why women still drink when pregnant when they KNOW what the risks are.
Look at what happened to Chrisean Rock’s son. She constantly drank and did drugs throughout her pregnancy and now her son will forever live with disabilities because of her choices. This is why abortion should always be an option because not all women are cut out to be parents.
If I were pregnant and informed that my fetus had Down syndrome I would absolutely abort. No amount of social media romanticizing of profound disability would change my mind. Contrary to popular opinion, you need more than love to care for a disabled child.
