Everyone is talking about NYSC Adire uniform.
I'm looking at something else.
I'm looking at cotton farmers.
I'm looking at indigo growers.
I'm looking at textile manufacturers.
Because whenever the government guarantees demand for a locally made product, it creates an opportunity across the entire value chain.
If NYSC begins sourcing its uniforms from Nigerian-made Adire, the opportunity isn't only for the people sewing the uniforms.
Someone has to grow the cotton.
Someone has to produce the indigo used for the dye.
Someone has to spin the yarn, weave the fabric, dye it, package it, and transport it.
That's how industries grow.
Nigeria was once one of Africa's major cotton producers, but production has fallen dramatically over the years. Many textile mills that once created thousands of jobs are now silent.
A policy like this won't revive the industry overnight.
But every industrial comeback starts with one thing: guaranteed demand.
If implemented well, NYSC could become one of the largest consistent buyers supporting Nigeria's cotton, textile, and garment value chain.
For farmers, this could mean a bigger market.
For processors, more business.
For young entrepreneurs, opportunities in fashion, dye production, logistics, and garment manufacturing.
Sometimes, the biggest opportunities aren't in the finished product everyone sees.
They're hidden in the supply chain.
That's where I'm looking.
Fun fact: The FIFA president has missed just two out of the world cup games so far, and you wont f#cking believe the country matches heβs missed back to back
π°π·π’ South Korea manager Myung-Bo Hong: "To all of the Korean people who love and support our national team, I would like to genuinely APOLOGISE." π
"I'd like to announce that I will step down as the national team head coach. It was not an easy decision for me to take this role, but once I took it, I thought about nothing else except being responsible until the very last moment. I believed that was the only way for me to work."
"As the head coach, no explanation can supersede the ultimate result. I could not bring the result that our people had expected. All responsibilities are with me. I want to thank our coaches and staff who worked with me with one common goal. I step down as the national team head coach. However, my heart for Korean football will remain the same. I will now support Korea national team to regain the trust and love of our people."

Trevoh Chalobah is not much more than a squad player for a club like Chelsea. Versatile & Durable. I understand pure profit when itβs not an elite talent. But Tosin, Badiashile, Disasi & Fofana should all be out the door before him.
