Still getting used to speaking/understanding a foreign language in public. Every time I check out my groceries the cashier asks if I want a receipt, but this time he said "have a nice night" and I replied "No Thankyou".

On a long car ride with my niece and she starts up a game of Would You Rather with the single hardest question I've ever been presented with.. "Would you rather have a rock on your foot or an ambulance car on top of you".

Today, as a young lad passed me on his bike with his hand out, as to signify he was turning, my brain decided that what he really wanted was a high five.
I soon realized my error, and called after him and yelled Sorry. So if he wasn't already uncomfortable, that sealed the deal.

I am doing my best to keep an open mind about new foods in Europe, however today mushrooms were suggested and I uttered the words "devil sponges." I have never heard that term and have no clue how it found its way into my mouth, but I'll gladly keep it in my vocabulary.
